Whenever I'm having a bad day or in a bad mood I just think, "what would Bootsy do?" He would probably just smile that 50K smile of his and keep it moving.

James turned down the Big Bang, to focus on his dance style. The Big Bang Bootzy’s talking about was about grooving the crowd, more for partying👊🏾. All of it was good!!!

They are ALL copying James Brown. They will copy Mr. Brown for thousands of years. James is the King. God Bless you James Brown for bringing so much joy into our lives. Even though Mr. Brown wasn't perfect, he tried to make this world a better place.

Joining P Funk was the best thing Bootsy could've ever done. It was more creativity allowed with George. He allowed you to be more loose and free. They took The One to another level!

Bootsy, I'd have to say is probably the most personable member of the Funk mob. Met him briefly in '96 at the summer stage concert. Very cool, charismatic and free spirited. The kind of dude you could sit down, have a few brews and chill with. Mike Hampton is funny, funny guy! I mean funny "ha ha"......lol

william luckey aside from emphasizing that first beat much more, pfunk also was far out crazy with their ideas, costumes, improv style--while James ran a very very tight ship (and also very very funky).

Actually, they also added some lead guitar stuff, ghostly keyboards and created a philosophy that can be used for life. Back in the day we called JB's funk - caveman funk. Original things are not always the best but they are original.

@@thrillattack101 it's about time someone kept it real, James Brown's style/music don't sound shit like Parliament/Funkadelic and he shouldn't be credited with inventing their sound or style. James never really made it out the 60's even though his best stuff came out during the early 70's. He never adjusted to the 70's with the keyboards and guitar innovations everybody else were doing amongst other things. Too old, Sly was funkier, P-FUNKS the BEST and God inspired/HOLY.
