Technically, European monarchies like England, Spain, etc are parliamentary monarchies. Which means that most of the governing functions are passed on to the elected government, and the monarchs bear only the basic functions, like declaring war/making peace, annexing territories, etc.

cryptsub After the film their tourism skyrocketed so yeah at first they were pretty upset but now they thank him and even said that he can request a paycheck if he wants. BTW I want to travel there someday just to be in Borat's country (even knowing it is a rich country :)

I was watching a doc about K-stan and it looks like the best Stan to live in. A lot of natural gas money coming into that country. I saw something else talking about how the leadership were skimming a lot of gas money through corruption but who cares. Human rights there are decent as far as the region goes, though there is some censorship against criticism of the govt. Turkmenistan, however...

Ya I think that u r right cuz, well I was born in Kazakhstan but in my blood there is no kazakh blood and I can call myself kazakh cuz I'm proud to live in such a great country... Unknown comrade, "Qazaq" is the Kazakh word for "Kazakh". It is customary for them to spell it this way even when writing in English. Kazakh is spelled Kazakh because English-speaking people will know how to properly pronounce it.
