Some people play just for the sake of farming super rare items even if the items suck. Not just Joltz, other people too like Killersix. He literally farmed Bunker on and off for like 5 years just to get a 94% SHAM and then later throw it into the grinder and delete his zero

i got the bone shredder hybrid right away my first stint into bl1, almost was more unlucky than lucky in a way because I had no idea it was actually something special and just assumed that was it's thing. Jokes on me when I anticipate getting another new one later on only to have that realization and disappointment set in... I remember thinking oh I musta rolled shitty parts this time or something, just gotta try again...and again....and again...and wtf is the problem here?! Unfortunately I had already ditched it long ago since it's not really that much of a game changer, I mean it was pretty sweet having regen back then when I was still broke n living that noob struggle, def no real appreciation for it tho since I just kinda assumed it was there to let you get your spray on in the beginning without having to worry about it, lol. Had I realized the truth of it back then I'd prolly still have it stashed away somewhere just as a memento to my ignorance and dumb luck :D Had a similar thing happen in BL2 with one of the rare heads. Got it way quick without even trying, wore it like once and was all meh, then didn't fuck with it again until WAY later when I was trying to go all completionist and working my way down the lists I finally seen that apparently it can be a shitty farm most of the time and suddenly it seemed to take on a new shine lol. Obvi not on the same level of rare that other things can be but still rare enough that I'm glad I didn't have to work my ass off for it since I don't think I ever seen it drop again after that.

Me too, that would really be dope. They could even find a way to balance it by lowering the stats by a percent slightly if it's a hybrid to compensate for two effects, so there's still a reason to use the individuals and they're not OP.
