Welcome Back to Gingy Reacts! Today I am reacting to the brand new trailer for Borderlands, the latest video game adaptation based on the hit video game franchise Borderlands. As a fan of director Eli Roth and the Borderlands Franchise, I am very excited for this movie to finally debut in theaters. With involvement from Gearbox, we could be looking at a successful adaptation that stays true to the game, and from this trailer alone, that thought could be a reality. With a star-studded and interesting cast with game-accurate looks, fun-looking action, and great visuals, the Borderlands Movie looks to contain the same insanity and fun that makes the franchise awesome.

Great review, glad your family loves the game also, only have a few friends that played it, most friends have no idea about the game.

Good review sir. Hope it’s a success, very few video game film adaptations are. Roland is well over 6ft tall and built like a brick shithouse, Kevin Hart not. Tiny Tina and CL4P-TP look good, JLC and CB too old. Will still go and see it.

music is the worst thing about this they could have use Pink Floyd or The Doors. The Heavy would have been the best,

Cringy at best. Looks like a cos-play version of the video game. Not good. I'm a fan of the game that's why by the looks of the trailer, it feels like a bad director with wrong casts. If it turns out to be a success, it will be the equivalent of "Super Mario Brothers"...if not, it will fail to the equivalent if "The Last Air Bender". In my opinion, it's not good.

honestly, i largely agree with you. the casting just doesn't make any sense at all. the music choice was wrong (and i'm a massive E.L.O. fan).

Worst casting ever. Roland is a big and quite serious character and Kevin Hart can only play Kevin Hart and he will portray Roland too goofy. Cate Blanchett is a great actress but shes like 25 years too old for the character of Lillith and to be honest her outfit and make up kinda look like a Mum in a mediocre cosplay. Jamie Lee is so cool but also too old for the character. Why casting Jack Black (and I love Jack Black) if you could easily let the original voice actor voice claptrap!? The soundtrack is way too "Guardians". The whole trailer is way more a Mashup between Guardians and Jumanji. The humor should be way darker. The production seemed to have been a nightmare. 2 different directors changing mid production, a script that the writer doesnt want his name in the credits anymore. Too bad, I love Borderlands, and the movie seems to just have taken names and ideas from it. So disappointing.
