it is true. I'm Ukrainian and I did think that. I think disambiguate because the war in Yugoslavia was civil (horrible, yes) while this is an act of aggression of one country against another sovereign entity.
@ashdee3363
@ashdee3363 2 жыл бұрын
It was a civil war in the Balkans. They're referring to an invasion/war between 2 different country's. This war is about money - look at all the natural resources the Ukraine has. They also want to move nato back which will then create a border from north to south bringing both Nato and Russia next to each other. Balkans was the last major blood shed in Europe its just how the media are wording it which is fairly ignorant but that is the media these days.

As far as I know Iraq and Afghanistan is not a part of the NATO (I could be wrong though so please educate me). Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean we don’t care. German, American and more soldiers were always involved until giving up. It has been going on for such a long time now that we probably just gave up. That’s how I would explain it but please, like I said: if I’m wrong be kind and educate me.

Because the Palestine-Israel conflict, although hostile, has been largely carried out by guerrilla groups and such. Ukraine-Russia is a big thing, it is a full on military invasion from a global superpower, something we haven’t seen in Europe since ww2. Wars in the Middle East are a pretty common and ongoing occurrence. Also considering Russia has been the bogeyman of the west and nato for many years now, it’s on their door step and directly effects them, pretty understandable that they’re taking it more seriously than other proxy or civil wars.

@UClYignZcNw8kTuVIqYhLJGA Much as I dislike Trump, this invasion would never have take place if he was in office. He was unpredictable and intimidating enough to scare Russia from trying anything like this. Biden is almost an octogenarian who was a child during the last world war. He's so weak and frail, he barely knows where he is half the time, and it gave Putin the confidence to do what he's always wanted to do because Biden, the senile old man, poses almost no threat and Putin knows that. We don't need a world leader who's already got one foot in the grave and confuses Afghanistan with Ukraine.

You know ... it's funny & freaky at the same time... the more I look at Boris Johnson & his antics .. the more he reminds me of Benny Hill in the British Sitcom "The Benny Hill Show" ... LOL ..

This was a great speech by Boris Johnson. For the first time since he came into office, I feel he's actually representing the majority of the British public, Though maybe thats because the opinion on this is so unanimous.

@@lexnar So you keep saying in every comment, maybe you forgot about 9/11. We didn't just go bombing them countries because we felt like it. He wasn't even in office at that point either not even close to it... Hey why don't you just relate the Ukrainian war to the British colonization in the 1800 aswell whilst your at it... Maybe you can judge Boris Johnson for that aswell? Because that seems logical
