To me, being a non-practicing Jew is devoid of meaning and empty of the essence of Jewishness. I prefer the US way. What's being a Zionist? It's merely political. There is no wisdom - chachma. Judaism is what give the cultural reality, the true genome or genetic code, fixing one's identity as a Jew. By their very history, they were tasked to be religious, otherwise it's a sham. One is just a Mexican or US citizen. There is no content in the Jew who is neither religious nor believes in God. It was in a covenant that God define the Jews as a special people. There's no refund. Jew and Gentile at least tacitly agree to that.
