Not surprised at all - after owning both cars the GV is definately more of an off roader than the Scoob - Not only does it feel more a proper 4x4 but is also has low box and diff lock - The forester is more comfortable on the tarmac though and holds the road better too - Therefore if you want an off roader buy the Suzuki but if you want a roomy city SUV buy the SF.

Those GV don't have rear diff locks. Though I would say the traction control is very well tuned.

But previous model Forester years 2003-2008 are definetely better than GV, even offroad

The 2 Vitaras with locked diff ... But the Forester seems that has the drive assist ON ... if he put if OFF the spinning tire would lock the AWD and power would make the Subaru get past that last crest much easier. Besides ... tires in all cars seems to suck!

In the Subaru no wheel locks unless there's a "locker" its all brake force distribution. No way around it. Cant have a wheel lock without a locking DIFF

@@vadimnesen8060 if you deactivate ESC when you give throttle finally recognizes and stops the wheel when it spins and transfers movement to the rest

Suzuki in locked diff seems to fair better in this video, but I still believe in Subaru's full-time all wheel drive. Not sure if there's some doctoring of sorts in favour of Suzuki

You were surprised ?, Vitara has lock diff, all tyres spin at low speed and power is the same on both axes, Subaru does not, it has to guess and reroute power based on sensors and wheel spin. That is why is called "intelligent awd". But the "dumb awd" on Vitara is a proper off road lock diff.

Unfortunately Suzuki don't make available awd here in the Philippines. We only get the cheaper versions.

Mihai Ciausu. We can only get front wheel drive on the top GLX model and only gasoline, no diesel in Philippines.
