I was quite a fan before watching this, I mean this guy has paid his dues and earns the respect he receives. But this interview shows how intelligent and wise he actually and that his skills go far beyond weightlifting. Thanks for taking the effort to translate this complete interview! Learned a lot while watching it.

Dmitry, Sir, I am an American who trained & deeply appreciated Olympic Weightlifting in the early to late 1960's,. Sir, then it seemed as some kind of Sub. Sport., Only one Magazine published anything about it: "Strength & Health" out of York PA.. Back then such activity was almost Cult like, none knew anything about it except for the very few. Beyond what has happened since, your World Tour has become a Catalyst for understanding & appreciation for it's benefits... The Tour is a profound advancement; So, Because You are the first you might doubt, as all Avant guard are prone to do, Never the less The Tour has Opened a Door. It will not be shut. God Bless & Thanks: From "The Keasbey Eagles" Weightlifting Club.

***** it doesn't matter unless he pops positive. And even then, look at what Dmitri already has: -A property in the center of Moscow worth millions -A supermodel wife -constant presence in the media, Klokov is the rockstar of this sport -affiliation with the currently fastest growing fitness movement in the world -a thriving business selling weightlifting gear he build that all without the success and skill a few other russian lifters have. Quite honestly I believe that Klokov's financial future is secured. THAT my friend is all that matters. In 10 years from now no one cares about your accomplishments in a niche sport, neither if you competed natural or not.

@Dulya_with_poppy10 жыл бұрын

@user-qv5uc1os3b9 жыл бұрын
@vedmed8119 жыл бұрын

@jaakkomonola893910 жыл бұрын
Dima, how much longer is your right leg? I have the same problem and I suffer from knee and hip pains due to that. Especially on squats. Hard to imagine it doesn't bother you (when lifting almost twice as much as I do) by just adjusting your feet positioning.

Not really, there isn't a Russian word for fuck in general, there are just lots of words that are similar and sort of profane but are used often by people who regularly speak Russian. The translation is fair though, its never exactly what he is saying but the core is the same.

Why can't you step over the barbell? Can someone aware me?
@BorisSheiko10 жыл бұрын
1. Barbell is she (in Russian). 2. Barbell is your partner who makes you stronger. If you step over or push her with your leg it means you don't respect your training partner. There is old tradition in some old Russian gyms. If you stepped over the barbell and a coach or an old lifter noticed it he insist you to beg pardon from the barbell. There are two ways: - to snatch or to clean&jerk the barbell and down it backward - to crawl under the barbell
