Born of Bread is a charming adventure game inspired by Paper Mario and Undertale. You play as Loaf, a magical bread boy who's tasked with stopping the Ember Empire from stealing the Sunstones. You'll adventure across a number of biomes, take part in combat minigames, and immerse yourself in a charming story filled with bread puns.

Enjoying it so far but, with the amount of backtracking required, accessing new areas through new exits in older ones, I'm finding the fighting of lower level enemies tedious. You can avoid them, but if you slip up, you get a boring fight, with little payoff that drains your attack points.

Ive already completed the game. No one talks about how buggy it is on the switch. Ran into many soft locks. Couldnt even complete two quests because some bug prevented it. Devs need to do more QA. Ignoring the bugs and glitches. Its a good game though. Just mad i paid full price for such a buggy game.

Huh, I thought the combat was the worst part of the game, so it's interesting that you thought it was the best part. It's incredibly simple and much easier than even the first Paper Mario game. For instance, the last boss is a joke. I didn't even have to use a healing item. The Shadow Queen in TTYD, on the other hand? One of the harder RPG bosses I know. Bowser in the first Paper Mario isn't that hard, but he's way harder than the last boss in this game. It's a good game though, but I found the combat extremely lacking. And you enjoyed the mini games for attacks? ...Did we play the same game? I mean, they're fun, but a LOT of them get reused for the same attacks, which makes combat feel rather repetitive. I greatly enjoyed the visuals, environments, characters and music, on the other hand. Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention that you have to open your menu to check health, switch partners and so on. It's a lot of time in menus. Paper Mario always had shortcuts to see health, switch partners and so on.
