Great series👍. One thing I place in my pack is vet wrap it can be used in multiple ways. Like an ace bandage, or compression dressing, a tag of tee shirt can become a wound dressing. Wrap to secure a splint. I take a roll and use a knife to cut a 1” wide strip to the core on one end to make a narrower strip. So I have a wide and narrow choice.

One time I went into the backwoods 7 miles in Colorado thinking it was supposed to be warm, it was 80 when i left the truck, it was soaking wet first night and frosty, couldnt get warm and brought a warm weather bag, froze and walked out next day. That is not always the case but in the colorado mountains at altitude any weather is possibel always.

It can be brutal for sure. Especially if you get a hail storm late in the afternoon and the sun cant burn it off it can get freezing at night even in the summer.

Great video! 2 questions and I guess sometimes they go togather binos and secondly pistol. Especially in places like Montana or Idaho. Do you pack a side arm and or bino harness?
@ColoradoStreaming
@ColoradoStreaming 2 ай бұрын
I have a Bino Harness with a Bear Mace attachment at the bottom. I drill with it and can deploy it in seconds. There is a lot of debate of Mace vs Pistol but I feel more comfortable with mace. Mace has the advantage you can curl into a ball and deploy it over your back in a situation the bear blindsides you. Dont forget to have the mace on you 24/7 including next to you when you sleep.
