neil williams I like to hear the stories from back in the day 1 thing that stands out is that boro get a lot of respect from everyone who knows they shit a small but tight knit firm who never backed down. neil williams Were not all ugly lol I don't do online arguments either and that's all that Leeds do these days but even when we go to there place you don't see them it used to piss me off a bit because people not in the know read it and think that Leeds are a naughty bunch but they a joke and if i was an old leeds lad from back in the day i would be embarrassed by it all. With us Boro lads we are very proud to be from boro and i think with that and the passion we have for our town n team it makes us stick together and the old lads even though its not like it used to be they still have lots of respect for the lads doing it now because they know were still game as fuck unlike the Leeds lot. Been reading all the stuff on here respect to Everton no problem Leeds big numbers always but not once did you cause us any problems in the 70s 80s when it was on one year at ayresome 5,000 of you in the away end you wouldn't come out Leeds never bothered us as for Chelsea running kids out great stuff what happened later going to the station you lot know who were there you got well and truly done an old Boro lad 65 now well past it but that's the truth

Went to Ayresome Park in the 80's with Leeds. Boro threw bricks over the wall while we were locked in. As soon as the gates were opened they were nowhere to be seen.

back in the 80tz went to the old ground a couple of times was in the away end with borra v leeds and borra v chelski both times the borra had them out of the visiting end and on the pitch respect nufc retired

+lodore100 Can't vouch for Chelsea but I went with Leeds up to Boro every time in the 80s and no one had anyone outside the away end or anywhere else for that matter. A few hairy moments to and from the ground granted but no result either way. 70s was a different matter but not the 80s. Usual internet stories I'm afraid.

My brother went boro with arsenal late 70s an he said boro ran them out the away end at the end of the game haha an the walk back there was agro all the way an well on top for them. Worst day he had at football he said.

I never went boro till late 80s an beyond but Utd did take good mobs there always held there own from what I heard but never claim much more. These are just my views from what I was told. In the 90s Utd had some right offs with them boro are tasty
