thats fuck all compared to what it was really like,we used to live oon Tavistock road in the early 70s,our windows went rhu nearly every week me dad fighting with footy fans etc..... that was mad,we moved to stockton then i got a job in frank dees on linthorpe road again early 80s the crowds used to do what they liked smashing shops up etc...the police had virtually no control--

i remember that season when middlesbrough came to leeds there smashed a few pubs up and a few leeds lads got broken noses and got battered in yates. im not sure what it was like near the ground after the match but during the day before kick off all the middlesbrough lads were in yates and no leeds fans went near them.

can you remember 15 yrs ago when the allgate was half emptied by the police as there was more leeds fans in there than boro i do as i was there and a few of my boro friends how embaressed my mates were after the game and since then they all agree leeds utd are the best away supported club in europe we all ended up getting moved behind the goals in the opposite end to the allgate and the far corner. this got full and the police had to open the gates to stop another hillsboro. took boro over
