Does God have permission to say "I want it back?"
We are all living on borrowed time. And borrowed gifts...and borrowed strengths... Everything we have has been loaned to us from God. At some point, God will interrupt our lives and will ask for His gifts back. He will interrupt our lives and ask for us to return all that has been entrusted to us. Will we be free enough to say "Here it is. I hope that the way I used it glorified You."?

Well said. This is exactly what my grandmother tried to convey to me when I asked how she was able to go on living[joyfully] after losing half her siblings and a daughter to childhood diseases. She had that great understanding of borrowed grace and gifts that you described so well. Thank you.

My father suffered a cardiac arrest in 1999 and was given last rites. He was truly supposed to die then but miraculously recovered. ❤ he would always say he was loving on borrowed time. He died about a year ago and we miss him dearly. But he absolutely was an example of being happy and grateful for every moment. 🎉❤

Beautiful homily, Father Mike…. It made me think of my dad, who lost his sight in his 90’s…. He lived to be 101…. He was never bitter or angry at God for asking for his sight back… he was the most joyful man and always praised the Lord til the last day of his life… God bless you, Father!

I always think of my time on earth as borrowed or temporary. Every time I hear our spiritual leaders talk about things on my mind it affirms that God is listening and hears me. He also answers questions I have, this way. Thank you Father Mike for your true sincerity. I have it on good authority that 'thing' you are personally dealing with is being used. God loves u and needs to use ur 'thing' for a coming miracle to help his flock. U r blessed❣️

We are both cradle Catholics and 39 years ago, we knew we wanted a “church” wedding, but couldn’t tell you why. Today, we understand the benefit of our Sacramental marriage.
