i'm using my new saw with the bosch track, showing the versatility. works well with, or without the track. great alternative if you want track compatibility, and also want to to rough cut.

I have this saw and I have using it Makita/Powertec guide rails. I noticed some play on those rails. How's the play on the bosch guide rails?

There's very little if any. I do have the actual track saw, which is adjustable, and obviously it's better.

For those in Oz and NZ the Ozito track also fits :-)

Thanks for the review! Still waiting for this thing to become available. It would have been nice if Bosch found a way to remotely trigger the shop vac from the tool.

Dear Sir/Madam, Amongst all the major manufacturers, Metabo is the only one to the best of my knowledge that offers a system that can be used with any brand & at a very competitive price to boot (www.amazon.de/-/en/dp/B08MFJH92Y/?coliid=I2K0MP021V3MZY&colid=2UWMDXCIP37D2&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it). The beauty of this particular set is that one could have say a Festool cleaner just as I do & connect it to any cordless tools such as a Mafell or Bosch circular saw. All other systems are dedicated just as their batteries are which means not only must you have the right brand extractor but either tool or battery ( as in Festool's case). Hope this helps. Kind regards.

@@carterscustomrods will this identical saw be releasing from Bosch in a left sided blade saw?? If so I will not use mine and return it and wait on the left bladed version as this right side is a pain to see your cut line.

@@carterscustomrods I found a picture of the overseas left bladed version after doing some research. It is called the GKS 18V-70 L. Check it out if you haven’t already. I would definitely return mine or sell it for this left bladed version. Thank you for the heads up.

I have the classic corded Mafell for many years that served me well from cutting anything from floor boards to Hardy plank for the kitchen. Together with an Asbestos certified Metabo vac, no mess. I was looking for a cordless version, also to do rough and quick cuts. I have plenty of 4AH and 8AH Bosch batteries, so I was looking at the GCN. What to expect with such a saw in comparison to a classic track saw? Considering that the Mafell kit now trades for $1,800 with rails, the Bosch sounds like a steal.

The lower guard on this saw makes it a little cumbersome as a track saw. Don't get me wrong it works, just not as well as the actual track saw. It just takes getting used to. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the demonstration. This saw is currently on my short list. Do you know what other track systems this is compatible with? Your video is the first I've seen mention of what other tracks work with this saw. Bosch's own description only said "select manufacturers". Is there any option other than Festool and Bosch?

I can't say for sure, since I owned the festool I was able to try that one, but I couldn't say whether the makita or dewalt, or mafell etc would work. Sorry

What Diablo blade is that and how many teeth? I plan on getting a few Diablo blades when mine comes in. Good video keep them coming.

It's a 60 tooth, it may be the most you can get on a 7 1/4 blade. I'm going to try some 40 tooth blades as well. I think that's the sweet spot. I used the 24 tooth that came with it for the lumber.

Bosch is an international company, this saw was developed in Germany, before it hit the states. I can't imagine it's not available. Not sure about the model number.

@@tooltipswithtommy ,I saw the Bosch GKS18V 68GC, cool as well but It's not the same yours. Because yours can be chop and cut the wood board from middle and from up to down and and saw blade of yours big enough for me, GKS18V 52 cool as well but saw blade only 52mm (small) .Thanks mate
