No other video I've seen on YT has been so precise and accurate in explaining how to do this job, none of the others mentioned the 2 grooves the seal has to fit on the inside drum ring! I have a Bosch Logixx 8 washing machine E - Nr. WAS28461GB/07 and this one varies a little bit to your display machine. The Logixx 8 control panel covers 3 screws on the top edge holding the front panel in place apart from the 3 screws in the detergent drawer fascia. The control panel was initially a puzzle to remove as there were no plastic pieces extending on top of the top frame, eventually I found that (looking from the front) the inside top right lug was the one needing to be pushed to release the control panel. Thanks for the great video! Heating the springs under hot water makes them expand and easier to fit. And if the model has a spring going all the way round for the inner spring, use string tied to the borders of the machine to hold the top and right hand side in place, and the handle of a wooden spoon to keep the left hand side of the spring in its channel so it doesn't jump out.

Great Video the only thing I will add is it is a great time to inspect the drain to ensure you can undo the cap. While the front is off is a great time to clean it out.

I made the change of the seal today and I can tell you this a brilliant description of the working steps. I'm not an English nativ speaker, but with the good video sequences I was able to make it happen in one hour. This video was perfect for replacing the door seal on our 2017 Bosch WAQ28470GB sold in UK. (I do have to say though, the band with spring that came with the new seal for the final door seal was much tighter than shown here and took two of us to get it in place.)

I found this very helpful. The hardest part about the job for me was. Removing the door lock wire from the panel. Also I remove the door. Making it easier to handle the panel. If you don't have a hug to all you can use needle nose vice Grips.

Thank you - this video was very clear and I was able to change the door seal myself. I didn't have a hook pick, so I used a metal coat hanger!

Great video, although the generic principles of fitting doorseals are fine, but it's knowing things like what screws and where they are located that need removing Also the little tips like lubing the seal before fitting and what tools make fitting easier. The hook tool is a great idea If you don't have a hook tool then you can use some string made into a loop and use a screwdriver in the looped string and that works just as well if you don't have a hook tool
