I love changing my tech every year... the one thing I havent been able to let go are my XM4s... they still rock as a complete package

I totally agree ! Let's be honest BOSE GOT LAZY ! They had an opportunity to make a multitude of improvement but they didn't ! Bose could improve some key elements like the microphone, and the battery at least . I have owned a QC45 before replacing it with TWO SENNHEISER MOMENTUM 4 (one black and one blue), the reasons were: for the same price ( bought in 2022), the SennMomentum 4 gave me: a 60hrs battery life (more than double the QC45) , incredible sound and roof-shattering bass ( Senn M.4 is better than Sony in my opinion sound quality wise ) and the microphone for phone calls is close to the Sony XM5. I just wish ANC was Bose level on my SM4 but it's still great. The QC45 has unbeatable comfort, Top tier ANC and I love the buttons. Despite having two Sennheiser Momentum 4, I will repurchase the QC45 which is 95% of the QC and a terrific value if you get them refurbished on Bose website for $159 or when on sale. in conclusion: As much as I hate to say it: SONY HAS NOTHING TO WORRY FROM BOSE FOR NOW, BOSE PLEASE DO BETTER I AM STILL A FAN .

Lots of users complain about the discomfort of the headband on the xm5. From my personal experience, initially I did feel some discomfort after using them for like and hour. But then I adjusted the headband so that it doesn’t press down on the top of my head. Rather it just sits there to keep the cups on position. This has significantly improved the comfort and now I use them straight 8 hours on long flights. They are extremely comfortable if you use them correctly.

I really wish your video came out and I watched it before I bought my QC45s back in May….but you haven’t made this video at that point haha. Because I recently bought an XM4s, I appreciate it a lot more than my QC45 so now I only use my QC45 when I head out.

I always have to raise the mids in almost every headphone I get, but with the QCs I just raise the bass to 8 and is the perfect sound for me, my momentum 4s are still my other daily drivers too, but if you get the QC 2023 or the QC45 you will not regret it.

I really really considered the bose because of the green but i just got the xm5s on sale for $270 so i have to give them a try.

I think you can’t go wrong with any of them. I bought the Bose QC on sale for $250. They are comfortable and sound great.

I just bought the Bose quiet comforts and have never bought over the ear headphones before. I hear a quiet little static in my right ear when anc is on but no music playing. Also when ambient sound is on it is pretty bad static is this normal?

Spec wise which is better Bose qc or Sony xm4?

Ive put well over a thousand hours through my xm3's, been looking to upgrade and i can decide between the xm4's or the bose. Ive had a number of problems with the touch sensors while working outdoors and using them while mowing yards and such. Anytime ime whereing a hoodie they start bugging out and if they ever get a little wet or too cold they bug out. So the perfect headphones to me would be the xm4's but with physical buttons. I was hoping the bose would be those headphones but it seems they just arent quite there.

My xm5's are very comfortable. I wear them hours on hours and they never felt uncomfortable .

xm4 has 40 mm drivers while x5 30 mm. That is the bass difference probably

I really enjoyed testing both the Sony's but seeing the posts on reddit where their bands broke is really heart wrenching. Tried the QC too but felt that the material was very plastic / cheap, will need to give that another try. As for the Momentum 4, it was significantly heavier and I started sweating few minutes after putting them on.

anyone who wants a good well rounded headphone should go with the bose... which to be truthful where the review isn't have better anc, sound quality, and just about match the battery life. I'm wearing the Bose QuietComfort right now, and coming from someone who uses Skullcandy Crushers... you can feel the bass more than enough

I only really care about sound quality, anc, ambient mode, connectivity, and battery life... so as you can imagine I went with the bose... and yes I have had personal experience with sony products

Guys help me I’m thinking about buying the xm4s or the qc ultras I feel like the qc ultras are better in general better anc and sound but xm4s have more features and stuff to play with I don’t really care about the price and am looking for a super comfortable headphones good anc I don’t really care about transparency my ears are a bit large and I want the cushions to have at least some cooling and I don’t really care about the micI’m not considering the xm5s bc most of the sources say it’s not comfortable so what should I get qc ultras or mx4s ? or even if you can recommend another headphones that fit what I want that would be great !

From my own experience portability for the XM5 is not that different from the XM4 and the ear cups, although shallower, do not touch my ears. The thing I think Sony needs to work on is the build of their headphones. The hinges on their folding headphones are prone to breaking and I already had to replace my XM5 due to the right ear cup losing all sound. Luckily, the insurance from Best Buy made it easy to replace, at no cost, but still durability is an issue Sony has yet to fix.

Good Intel. For me, comfort is king so with QCs being most loose, that's my pick. However, since I live in NY, I need to be much more aware of being robbed by passing scooters so Airpods pro 2 or cheap Otiums on Amazon will do

I had a Sony 1000XM in the past, and the headband just snapped out of the blue one day. When I went to an official Sony shop, they just would not own up to this fault, and they would not replace the headphones, nor repair them, which is unacceptable given you spend hundreds of Euros on these poor quality products. Given this extremely poor customer support experience I will never buy a Sony product again. I don't recommend them

Sony's are the best in every category in this class. Maybe except for portability. But other than that they're comfortable they sound better than every other one The noise canceling is just as good as bose

I have to disagree with your opinion to buy the Bose over Sony 4 or 5. I tried both at best buy for a hour. The sony headphones blow the Bose away. The Bose bass was fizzing on the test songs. The sony was just humming along and very pleasant. To be fair, i could not go in and adjust the EQ on either set. Since a have a smaller head i found the Bose big and clunky and the top part did not fell as good as the Sony. The Sony for me won hands down. And i prefer the 4's over the 5's because of the top head band portion. Sony made a mistake by changing it to a tubular band. Of course, these are just my opinions and only use as food for thought.
