Man, thank you so much for explaining this in a fashion I can grasp. There are lots of good videos on these speakers, but this checks the boxes for me.

I've owned the S1 Pro, and I now own the Everse 8. The Bose was okay, but the Everse 8 had it beat hands down. It's nice to have a full range speaker. The Bose lacks the ability to have mid control, and that is a major frequency range in the scope of human hearing. Also, when this guy talked about the Bose being a pound lighter, that does not constitute it being more portable than the Everse 8. It just means it is a pound lighter. That's all.

Tried both at a music store. Bose took less than 5 minutes to make the Mic. And guitar sound great! Like having a mixing engineer. EV took about 20 minutes to make it sound ok was not happy with the muddy sound. Crancked both speakers up, both sounded just as loud. I own EV speakers they sound amazing with a Mixer. But for easy and simplicity Bose takes the Cake, just plug and play. Loud enough for small backyards and small venues. no more carrying big speakers, mixer and looking for electricity to hook up when its not required. If Im playing in a bigger venue ill use my bigger system and use the Bose pro for a extra monitor without having to plug power to it...

This is absolutely true! I’ve been using my Bose S1 Pro for busking for a while and I’m struggling to get enough volume from my Shure SM58 microphone even though the mic volume is all the way up. I’ve been thinking of getting a portable phantom power and mic preamp to increase the microphone volume. The alternative is to sell Bose and buy EV 8

You nailed it with your explanation. I have found that Bose beats EV hands down, except for build quality. I owned both the L1Pro 8 and EV30M. He EV sounded muddy. No amount of EQ could correct it’s short comings.

The real difference is the pre amps in the S1 are horrible and weak plug in a vocal mic and see for yourself . You would need a external mixer to make it sound better and get the volume out of it that's needed.

Not entirely true! The Bose S1 Pro comes with a 6-inch woofer alongside “three 2.25-inch drivers.” Very different to an ordinary PA Speaker, that has just two speakers. This results in an impressive sound quality that is pleasant to the ear without causing listening fatigue. You also have a much more even volume dispersion (much like an array.) The sound quality of the Bose S1 Pro is also incredible. It doesn’t sound like a PA, it’s much more natural sounding for singers and guitarists as compared to a regular PA speaker. But if you like what your putting in to come out sounding like a PA then perhaps it’s not for you, but if your after a more natural sound, clarity and frequency separation, then it can’t be beaten for it’s size imo. For me is ALL about the sound quality and clarity of what it’s producing. I’ve had a loud LD System Array years ago and at volume’s it sounded very muddy.

Hello. Nice yo meet you...^^ I can not speak English very well. I really want to ask a question, so I will ask it using a translator. Please understand even if the way I speak is a little strange. My name is Damian, and I mainly perform acoustic guitar on small and medium-sized outdoor stages in Korea. I need a battery-powered amplifier right now, and I'm debating between EV everse8 and Bose s1 pro plus. I want the delicate expression of an acoustic guitar to be possible, but also have high output and a clear sound delivered to the audience. Which product is better?

If you doesn't speak spanish use a translator. Saludos!
