Thank you for putting respect on its name! 💪

Thanks! I bought it used expecting it to be bad but was pleasantly surprised with what it did. Maybe some people's expectations are to high and also not knowing how to add it to your signal chain.

I actually use mine as a clean boost it’s great as a boost with a little bit of reverb! Great video btw

Thanks! I could totally see using it as an always on type if pedal. Just curious, what guitar & amp do you use with it?

Guitars it’s usually with my Ibanez 7 String tuned to D Standard and I also use it with my Gibson SG with my Orange Combo.Clean amp

You are starting with a Telecaster which sounds like an acoustik in the neck pickup. That's why it's king in Nashville. Bravo!

Guilty, and it's a Nashville Tele as well (& I'm in Nashville, lol). I just used it because it sounds better than running active EMG's with this setup. This video took off more than I expected it too.

I think the pedal works just fine as long as you're playing into a clean amp (you never do this in the video, it's always got a bit of overdrive).
@Fullscalemusictn

True. I honestly don't end up playing clean when I jam with others and if I do it would most likely be clean or acoustic with a high gain or overdriven sound. I don't mind making a video running it through some clean amps, especially if people are interested in it.

@@Fullscalemusictn All good! I'm always using a clean amp with a bunch of pedals. I'm sure this video will be helpful to people who prefer your setup (of which there are plenty)

Agreed on that - I run it clean in a separate amp to my main guitar

@@eoinjennings519 So you play with 2 separate amps? Why?? That seems like a lot to carry around.

No I play with 6 wddw and stereo for the piezo to do acoustic sounds(only play at home so no need to worry about practicability !)@@douchecraft3113

If this thing is misunderstood at all, it's because it's not called the "Shitty Piezo Simulator". 😬

So if you run this pedal inline with an electric drum kit, will it sound like an acoustic one?😂 funny question, however......

I mean.... it'd probably do something. Another idea for a video at least.

@johntait5141 True. In the Line 6 Helix software the Acoustic Simulator is found with the EQ & Dynamic category.

@@andrewwampler8158 I was wondering if there was/is something like the "Acoustic simulator" that could be used with an electronic kit to "further" or "better" the sound to sound more like an actual acoustic kit than some of them ( Alessis, Roland, donner, Simmons, etc.) sound already. I was crackin the worst of jokes but the idea behind it was/is to get more of an acoustical sound out of the electronic kits. I'm thinking by now the techno has improved in that area. The "best" acoustic sound from an electronic drum brain i.m.o. comes from Roland. It's always the nuances kinda like the drawbars on a Hammond b3 or the natural fluctuations on a tape delay.

A piezo can actually be installed in a solid body electric.

True. A friend of mine has a Moser with a piezo pickup and it's pretty cool. I've got one of those nylon string Travler guitars with a piezo as well, and i'll just run it straight to the amp sometimes for fun.

Could you just put it at the start of the pedal chain for the same result? You would just have to turn the other pedal off while using it.
@Fullscalemusictn
@Fullscalemusictn 4 ай бұрын
You could, but that also is why I think it might not sound right for some people. Having it run through an amp, especially with any level of gain pushing it, is going to make it sound bright, crisp, hairy (lots of other words could apply) but not necessarily acoustic which is the point of it. You could achieve a similar sound using an EQ pedal. Sound aside, it's SO much nicer (for me anyway) to only have to hit one pedal to switch the sound and then not have to tap dance in reverse if I need to go back to the original sound (which does happen in my sets occasionally). Right now, I'm essentially doing the same thing, but with the HX Stomp. If I need the AC Sim, I hit one button and everything else goes off. At least the amp, cabs & any drives.

@@Fullscalemusictn I was just watching some kids on KZfaq compare both routes & I couldn’t hear the difference. Like you said it’s for people who don’t want to turn their other pedals off or don’t use parallel looping.

Lol, I appreciate it! I don't end up needing clean tones very often when I'm playing with other people, but it's cool addition to the board if I needed an acoustic tone.
