I like how the "ON button" on the sumo bro's back turns into the button saying NO.

i love how we have a generic boss battle theme but it only plays twice and in like the same exact streamer

I like how, based on the situation, this theme takes on a completely different meaning. During the Sumo Bros. fight, you hear the drums at the start, and it sounds like you're fighting a couple of bikers. During the Handaconda fight, you hear the electric guitar, and it sounds terrifying. It's the exact same theme, with the exact same instruments, but because of the situation it sounds completely different, and I like that.

Sumo Bros fight: **jams out** Handaconda fight: **jams out fearfully**

“The Sumo Bros are weak to fire.” Oh, so they’ll just take more dam- *DIES IN ONE HIT*

I absolutely love how at 1:14 you can hear a bit of the Event Battle Theme. This soundtrack continues to impress me!

Aside from the Vellumentals, the Sumo Bros. were the only Origami bosses. That's a pretty big feat.

1:21 Paper Mario: Origami Slayer

I find it funny how this music comes from this game. To me, this literally sounds like all of Wario Land boss music stuffed into a single theme. It has the quirky chiptune of the GB games (and VBWL), the funky synth of Wario Land 4 and Wario Land: Shake It!, and the driving metal of Wario: Master of Disguise. This is the ultimate Wario boss music to my ears.

The French name of this boss is just magical

Sticker Star and Color Splash had a thing for jazz, and The Origami King has a thing for hard rock. Personally, I'm not complaining about either.

This song, for a MINI BOSS, not even a full boss, sounds like a final boss theme, you can hear parts of the main game's leitmotif, it, for lack of a better word, sounds epic as hell, and it feels like it's now or never

God this one sounds GOOD. Thanks for uploading this, dude. Just waiting for that credits theme now. Gonna be a little sad when you finish uploading these, it was fun popping in each night and seeing what music you’ve uploaded.

Everytime I replay this game again, I always ask myself about why Nintendo made this INCREDIBLE generic boss theme, gave it to two bosses in the entire game, and then put those two bosses 15 minutes away from each other in the storyline.

Interesting that a “generic” boss battle theme is only used exactly two times in this game. And the second instance occurs shortly after the first one.

For a theme you hear twice, and pretty much bang next to each other, it does pretty well ngl.

If this game ever gets DLC, this song needs to used it it. It's a crime how it only played twice.

We need a Mario game and/or a Paper Mario game where all of the enemies and bosses return from previous games as your allies throughout the game, like in Kirby Star Allies. I want to wield the power of all my former enemies as my friends and allies, it doesn't happen enough!

As a metal head, I approve this soundtrack.

I think the fact that the blooper on peaches ship isn't a boss like this, is a missed opportunity.

This game isn’t perfect, but I feel like it’s brightening up the future of paper Mario if they keep going on this track of original and fun bosses, and, at least in my opinion (and people are gonna be mad), pretty good characters and a decent story.

This could've been used more, rather than just Chapter 5. It's too good to be this underused. More terrifying minibosses, like a giant scuttlebug-spider in the web room in the Shroom Temple.

Sounds a little like an enhanced event battle, which kind of also makes sense in a way, since event battles are kind of mini miniboss battles

0:59 can't stop thinking about how that tiny segment sounds like popple's theme

Such intensity yet it's only a miniboss theme, which is probably why it also sounds somewhat silly and it reminds me of something from SPM with how quirky it sounds at some points. Still, it's a really good theme and my only issue is that I wish it played more, especially since 1:04-1:22 is too good to only hear twice...

Listening to the ost makes me want to play this game again... I always thought the music was great but the BOSS THEMES... too bad I've already played the game 3 times, one playthrough was last year

There were originally more sumo bros, but one of them got within 5 feet of a match and had a seizure.

I remember playing through the Handaconda fight, landing on the Rock Paper Scissors panel, and randomly guessing because I hadn't even noticed that he shows you what he's gonna choose. I got it right by pure luck, decided it was either random or it was programmed to let you win, and proceeded to land on the panel again the following turn, after STILL not paying attention, getting it right again by pure chance. Thanks to those lucky wins, I beat it really easily, and I felt genuinely bad for Handaconda after I later found out about his telegraph.

Now I’ve played my fair share of Pokémon... So why is sumo bro so weak to fire instead of ground?

Honestly, i'm a fan of the Sumo Bros. boss.

If anything in this game is actually great, then the MUSIC, wow. And I suppose the exploration and mache battles.

Handacondra is definitely the most original thing to come out of Paper Mario in a long time.

Random trick I literally just learned yesterday. In the event that you take just enough time that Handaconda successfully baits you and changes his move just before you can react, you can intentionally mistime the actually QTE to get the upper hand again.😅

i heard the guitar at the sumo bros fight and immediately thought the battle would get me a game over at least twice it didnt

I was so disappointed when there didn't end up being a cloud/storm/air vellumental. You could put it in like a "Air Vellumental Forest" or something like the Spring of Jungle Mist

Did anyone else break Scissors free immediately just to have an extra challenge? It surprised me that his moves were 1HKOs when I did that but I beat it on the first try with some luck and quick reflexes
