Nobody talks about this box with an acoustic guitar I run it through the acoustic in a 3pc acoustic band and it sounds amazing it fills the sound so well adds a lot to the sound

you can use the output as a DI and the send as the raw signal if youre that kind of person too

Here’s my chain: Tuner> Comp>Wah >SY-1 Dirt Pedals > Amp modulation and Time Based effects in the loop of the amplifier. Question: So to achieve this my dirt pedals need to go into the send/return of the Boss SY-1 with my guitar signal hitting the input and output of the SY-1 into the front of the amp? Same here, I’ve used chat gpt to figure some stuff out. It’s helpful but not always able to tell you exactly what you need.

So what’s the chain? Guitar into synth skip dirty pedals straight to mods and timed based? Send those dirty pedals into send/return of SY-1?

That’s correct. That method applies to any Boss pedal with a send and return. It also works best in that method with the Noise Suppressor too. You just mostly kill the hum rather than the sustain of your tone like other noise gates.

Thanks for clearing up this issue. Now what would be the proper way of connecting a distortion pedal simultaneously to both the sy-1 and an ns-2 noise suppressor since the distortion would have to be routed through 2 sets of send/return jacks?

Wow, great video. So please, how could I do that ? ! OK, my chain is : Guitar - Distortion - Noise Gate pedal - Floor unit Effect Processor. So how can I connect the Boss SY1 ? PLEASE ! !

The SY-1 should be connected before the drive pedals. Best at the beginning of the chain and you want to plug your distortion to the send and return of the SY-1.

Yes. When you use the SY-1 it’s the best method because the signals will run parallel rather than sequential. In other words when you engage the synth pedal your drive sound won’t distort your synth tone.

Do you think this method will work with any multi effect? I'm using a Hotone Ampero 2 and wanted to try your method of connecting it to the boss sy1.

@@madamadama5078 yes it will. All you need to do is run the input and output of the multi-effects unit to the send and return of the synth pedal.
