2 жыл бұрынI had a chance to mess around with this new BOSS SY-200 Synthesizer pedal recently. A pretty neat piece of gear for guitar players who want to explore more synth tones (as the 80s is back!). Nice, warm analogue-ish tones on board. Sound demo starts at 2:55!

Good Demo but I just don't hear a lot of useful sounds for someone like me, a live gig singer/guitar player. I find myself thinking along the lines of the Dr Ian Malcom in "Jurassic Park"..."Just because we can make a lot of weird sounds doesn't mean we should! It would be good to have demo where a singer/guitarist is playing/singing and switches the synth sounds in/out as necessary during the song.

Great video....How did you isolate those sounds that you played from the 171 presets??? My unit came the other day and I am trying to meander thru all the features. Did you just use the "type"knob...for those sounds??? Thanks for creating this video...Maybe you can do one explaining the differences between the presets and the 12 types of sounds!!!

Hi there! In that knob that categorises the tones into 12, for each category you can turn the variation knob and that gives you extra tones within each category… the sounds I demonstrated were pretty much stock patches :)

Hi there, the SY-200 does not have a GK input. It works directly from a standard guitar cable.

Sebagai user sy1000 Kalau gitaris x nak pening setup synth beli ni je. Sakit jiwa setting sy1000 sampai jumpa resynthesis. Wajib tambah chorus, compressor dgn reverb. Tapi Sy1000 pun saya masih cucuk masuk fractal untuk tambah effect 😅

Kalau nak tahu program SY pedal, kena belajar basics utk synthesis. Kenal terminology dan fungsi main parameters. Chorus dan reverb memang perlu, boleh menyedapkan bunyi dia! Otherwise kering sangat, lain kalau main funk 😆

Hello LK!...I need some advise if it is cool...I bought one and I put the batteries in it and when trying to turn on nothing happens...I put new Energizes and still nothing...if you have time please advise. Btw cool video!!!

Hi there, there’s no piano sounds on this. For piano sounds, you’d want the GR-55 guitar synthesizer unit.

@@theamazingofhumanbody3847 well, there is a more affordable GP-10 which does synth sounds too but just like the GR-55, you’d need the GK-3 synth pickup for it to work. But no actual acoustic piano sounds for this too. There isn’t much choices in the market for guitar synthesizers from what I know

Nah I'll stick with Electro Harmonics thanks. They do every patch demonstrated way better.
