He made his debut as a music director in the 2006 film Dishyum, directed by Sasi. Nakka Mukka raised his fame and that song was played in the 2011 Cricket World Cup. In 2012, he made his acting debut, enacting the lead role in the thriller film Naan.

vijay antony ji, unsure why india pakistan was not praised by most of the critics...but my family incl 2 kids liked so much...one of the most comedy film...and ur character and acting in the film in comedy was subtle with not much of gala..which was well delivered..

Many times I rejected to watch this movie because hero doing like this character as a beggar but after watching this I felt, if I miss to watch this movie it was a great lose for me... Really heart touching ,reality of life not only this, all his movies are great messages All girls are lucky, those became his heroine. Really you makes me to cry in theater. Saritha praveen.

Vijay Antony Sir you have taken doctor roles in many of your movies and they have become a good success like Naan, Salim and Kaali.. May I know is there a specific reason why you chose to be a doctor in the movies. I can only relate very rarely doctors having such emotions.. Just wanted to know the reason behind this..
