It was pretty humid at BA. Definitely needed more water than I brought with me. It was also pretty windy, which made filming everything difficult. For the bass sub-sectional I blocked the GoPro mic with my hand to prevent wind and held my phone against my chest for this one. It definitely affected the audio, but at least there’s minimal wind sound in the final cut.

God these kids are amazing. No one else is ramming notes and challenging stickings like this, or this clean. Kinda sad about the drumbreak cuts. Is that permanent, or is it being re-written? Prob a bit late in the season for new music, just curious.

I’m not sure if it’s permanent, but I don’t really see them backtracking on that decision. Only time will tell!

Without ever having a confirmation to this question by the user himself, I am 100% sure it’s a play on Paul Rennick. The odds that this guy’s name is coincidentally a perfect swap on a famous name directly linked to this activity is prob 1 in a trillion or less.

Sadly, I’m not the legendary percussion arranger. It’s been my name on TikTok for forever and people really seemed to love it! I’ve considered changing it to something more professional, but it’s pretty hilarious in my opinion and I figured Rennick would’ve reached out if it was problematic.

Boston plays their very rammy book very well, but it's not really what the percussion judges like to see. That's why Bluecoats won last year I think, they played musically and their book fir really well with the show.

I hope Boston wins. The blue devils have a crap hornline this year and their music makes them sound like a highschool band..Plus i'm tired of them always winning, even when they aren't the best.

If you truly believe BD has a "crap" horn line, you need to do some thinking. You can nitpick but objectively they sound good. They wouldn't be placing first at every comp so far this season if they didn't.

@@asherbank1941 It didn't sound good to me. Probably because of the music itself. The music is pretty lame this year for the BD imo. The drumline is good though.

@@asherbank1941 lol, they often win when they shouldn't. That's what i said to begin with. Know why? Because the devil runs this world. So they symbolically nod to the lord of the rings because the whole organization is ran by the Masons, who work for Israel, aka Saturn/Satan. There's your lesson for the day children.
