7:27 lol @ the spiderman doll hanging from the ladder. I forget which engine it was, but back in 2014 they were dispatched to a call on washington st and they had a spongebob in the window. Love those types of flair lol

Engine 10! Yeah, the flairs are cool. Rescue 2 and Car 9 have Animal from the Muppets too.

Animal wasn’t on Rescue 2 but he’s a fixture for them…plus Spider-man helps show the angle of the ladder well

This video has taught me 3 valuable lessons. 1) any ups or fed ex truck parked on an active roadway should be ticketed and towed. 2) 90% at least of these drivers could not pass the most basic parts of EVOC. 3) I hope I never need an ambulance in Boston, I have never in my 25 years in fire and EMS seen vehicles move so slow!

I think it would be hard to ticket the delivery vehicles since they keep moving. By the time a cruiser shows up they'd be long gone.

I heard that the siren can't be used for a long time because it will damage the hearing

I'm not sure how much it damages hearing to be honest, if you're behind the siren in the cab.

I couldn't figure it out. The ambulance might have been going to a different call. I did think the ladder was coming my way but they obviously didn't haha

Wow i can't believe how many rigs are running with no lights on and only the siren that is asking for trouble especially if involved in an accident, and also how many of the whelen lightbars have light heads not functioning or the lightbar is shorted out barely working or the entire bar is out. In 2011 i pushed for my fire dept to install safety switches where both the electronic and mechanical siren will not activate until the warning lights are all activated and instead of each lighting button having an individual function one button activates all of the warning lights on the rig and the parking brake activates all of the white lights on the front of the rig when taken off and disables them when the parking brake is pulled. In the last ten years we have never ever had any of our apparatus or vehicles respond with no lights and only the siren, and it should be a federally mandated law that every fire agency in the u.s. have the same setup so it would not be possible to run the siren with out lights.

Q= everyone around being deafened…they don’t go full Q for good reason! and i know this from direct experience growing up close to their neighbors Chelsea Engine 2/Tower Ladder 1 and have been there for thousands of Engines 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 50 responses.
