Boston is like the smart kid in the classroom that doesn't get or need any attention. You never hear about Boston in a ghetto way because even our hood folks are intelligent. This is as hood as it gets and look how well maintained the cars, the streets and the houses are. For it to be in the top 12 biggest metro areas that's a huge accomplishment.

BPD have decent people but the bad ones stand out. One night, my sister’s ex-boyfriend broke into our home and raped her. We called the police and when we went outside to meet with one of the responding officers, the first thing that came out of his mouth was that “most domestic violence cases, the woman is the one that instigates it.” Mind you, the officer had no details about what happened when he said that shit. If I didn’t have family members that worked for the Boston police, it would’ve been the moment that poisoned me against the police entirely.

Why is it the hippity Pippity Hop must be played at max volume in every hood.SOME People gotta get up for WORK in the morning. Don;t they have any sense of COMMUNITY? Very selfish.

Boston isn't even close to what it used to be, Charlestown, Southie, Dot, JP even parts of Roxbury all gentrified now. Not a lot of people still live there that once did 20 30 years ago. 80s and 90s were crazy especially in Southie and Charlestown with the H and pills. Dorchester Mattapan Roxbury had alot of gangs its just not the same as it was i guess thats a good thing. Just stay away from Mass And Cass and BMC thats where the homeless and all the drugs are.
