Anything under perf level of a 3060(2070Super or whatever around that) is far too less for modern games at even 1080p when you add streaming to it- also I can tell you have no experience with hardware with a 4030 (if it existed) would be just as bad as 5 year old card.

Because when someone is talking about something where this thing is also your field of expertise, and at the same time that person also know nothing about it, in a certain topic, I really want to avoid from getting involved in the conversation. For computer hardware, I really want to avoid people who don't have clue on the value of the hardware and software from talking this stuff. Since most of people that I met tend to underestimate the price of computer hardware and software. When someone asks my help to build or at least creating specs for a new computer, I always tried to give the the best specification based on what they need. But these people can be so annoying when they are not expecting that the price can be that high. "Can you build using cheaper parts but maintain high performance?" I usually end up with F. you.! Go find someone else to bother...! :D

I dont get that part with “ok performance. 1060 isnt that different from 1070 (6gb one, if it is regular then 1070 is much better).

@deauthorsadeptus6920 the framerate difference between the 1060 and the 1070 is consistently +33% accross dozens of games: when the 1060 outputs 40 fps, the 1070 outputs 60 fps. That is a major difference, the gap between a choppy and a fluid experience.

Still, suggesting a 1070 in 2018 is... eh. The management really did her dirty there. I got 1080TI in 2018 myself and I've yet to find a reason to replace it. It's also a prebuilt, because my previous PC fried and I had nothing good to browse internet on to pick parts myself, could've saved like 500$ on all the useless RGBs and shit, but, oh well.

Original video the clip is from is like nearly two years ago...that's why the 'three years ago when she first started' bit doesn't line up...she's bought a new one since then.

I think the 10 series is about to be buried. I've got the 1080 and feel like the newer games since the latest console generation started dialing up the requirements to the point where you're at the lower spectrum of supported cards. It's OK if you play on 1080p or are fine with like 30-40 FPS at higher resolutions. Also I feel like VR and AI make a newer card attractive. I'm about to switch to the RTX 40 series.

1070 and cyberpunk? maybe, if you set everything to low. 3060/70 are "cheap" now, you could even take a second hand from a reliable source and get huuuge upgrade in quality for better framerate

what resolutions you're running at? 1080p? My 1080 is struggling with newer titles at 2K or 4K.

As the helpful tech nerd for anyone who'll have me.. I almost guarantee Subaru won't ask. Subaru will feel like it'll be burdening Botan, and she'll just buy w/e HQ (or a random employee) tells her to buy. Despite Botan (likely) very much wanting to help, and would love to show/explain/build it for Subaru. I'm talking from experience, but it's always the same story. Notice the hesitation from Botan recommending things, it's cause she knows it'll go this way again.

It's also a decent guess because a 1080 would have a better time with the games that she mentioned. Depending on the rest of the build, of course, but the fact that Subaru struggled with those games suggests that it might not be a 1080
