Love the crazy randomness! With the grind plate pla might be a better material to print. My thought when looking at where you were flying is vertical grinds on light poles. Flying up into a grind with a backflip out would be sick!

I have a qwad set up for making sparks on asphalt . I put magnesium bars on motor mounts going from L-R and a strobelight. I have to find a friend to film me scrapping the ground . I have airmode on a switch.

Reminds me of the old shoes I used to have in middle school called Soaps. They had like ceramic or plastic plates on the soles and you could slide on benches, rails, or metal platforms pretty ez. The catch for me was needing to use wax and melt it to the surface to slide it. Carbon grinds across metal because it doesn't grab it. Maybe try a harder plastic instead of having to waxing everything. Could possibly use an arched piece of carbon or something instead of the 3d printed squishy plastic

Good stuff. I just got a printer recently and I’m making parts with petg. It works great, but I imagine that the designs would be a bit different since you can’t really flex it onto the frame. I’m still waiting on my vtx/cam to finish my first build. I lost my tiny quad in a tree a couple days ago. I learned the hard way, which is really the best way…

That grinder add-on looks interesting, I'd love to see you grind some long handrails with that setup. You keep getting better and more consistent with your flying, I know you could pull off some sweet handrail grind footage. Maybe as easy as switching to PLA for the print? (Perhaps PETG or Nylon if you or a buddy that can print that hot)

Instead of a fixed plate you need a roller. A roller with a V shape or side plates could grip an edge to keep your quad centered.

My local maker space has a resin printer. Maybe yours does too - resin might be a harder / less grippy plate material but might be too heavy.

I can do 4km on my 5 inch with a standard lipo 1500 4S no problem, it's an AOS5 v2 frame and is ~600 grams with a thumb pro on.

this is the flywoo exporer, mine came bnf but i fried the fc so i put a new stack in and swapped the vtx for a better one, i think my longest flight was 17 minutes just cruising

Flywoo ftw! I totally bought mine after watching you get yours awhile ago. It's a good lil micro. I literally whooped! When I saw you plug it into the battery bank to get satellites. I have one sitting on my dash for that exact reason. And turn on that baro on your osd. I think you dropped too low on the way back and that's why the video got sketch.

Hey dude! check out PC or PC/ABS or PC/ASA for printing grind plates. Good impact resistance and low friction should turn out good. Neat nylon should work if your printer can do it and I hear PCTG has good properties for this use case but I don't have much experience with it myself. Good luck!
