I'm not entirely sure, but I'm guessing after Link goes into ragdoll mode he gets some invincibility until he stands back up (probably to prevent game overs in situations like this one)

Yeah, botw has massive invincibility frames, exactly to prevent those situations XD, unfortunately in ragdoll he still takes environmental damage.

Once I had been struck by lightning, while I had been driving naked with my motorcycle. I didn't even have metal weapons on me! Or another time, an electric chuchu hit me, I dropped my big Bumerang and he just shrinked and vanished while charging on it😂
