You could put a couple of hooks at the end of the sawdust/splinter chute to hang a sack on, this will collect the small debris that is good for starting a fire, also saves you sweeping up afterwards.

Tim from Canada..I have never seen caned hotdogs before… it must be European or Scandinavian country’s that have this…. even here in Canada, we have the cheaper brand of hotdogs and they’re still in a plastic wrapper….. Snyders wieners is the major brand of hotdogs and lunch meats, and sausages. This is the major brand if you want top quality meat…. Then every store has their number named . Brands of meats, sausages, and hotdogs, but even still everything is in a plastic wrapper. I’ve never seen hot dogs in a can before.

Stupid question of the day... I see you are driving the belt loader with the belt in the "UP" position. Have you checked for the safety override?? As a fleet service clerk (aka baggage handler) who uses these daily, they should have a switch that restricts the speed when the belt is not fully down. This is to prevent someone from doing serious damage to a plane when approaching, if the brakes fail. This may be why you are having problems. Keep up the great projects! You are fun to watch.

This one looks like it was built in the 1960's but seems well cared for. This was back when Sweden was a well, a semi-socialist country. This truck has the logo of the government air traffic authority on it. Government agencies employed a lot of people to care for equipment, whether it needed to or not. Mechanics had lots of time on their hands and they might as well do stuff thoroughly instead of rushing it. These old machines that belonged to government agencies are often in remarkably good condition. Nowadays, everything has been privatized or is run like a business. Old stuff get's thrown out instead of repaired and maintained.

It is worth highlighting how your can o' wieners was somewhat reflective to infrared. If you need to be sure, put a piece of electrical tape on a surface of interest and set your emissivity to 0.95; that'll give you a reliable reading.

one solution I see is when the wood drops down from the cut, the wood can canter to the left or canter to the right or be on the left or right side of the belt when it gets pushed into the wedge splitter, the two guide plates on either side that guide the log into the wedge splitter should be a total V this way the wood is always centered on the wedge splitter head on not cantered left or right. The only thing that would effect is the height of the log inside the V, so if it's a small log say 3" diameter it will be low inside the V but if it's a 20" log it will be higher inside the V when it's pushed up against the wedge splitter.

It would really help if the belt had some bolted metal slats to help push the wood like proper conveyers that are made for firewood. Unless you only use it in low angles. Higher angle would make the wood slip without them.
