interesting fact: Bounc3 created the original edit of crying soul in collaboration with another unnamed artist. After the collaboration fell through, Bounc3 released the unfinished Crying Soul, as a WIP. DJ Raaban then found it and used it, as it was free and uncopyrighted, (he did remix it, so it's not like Raaban just stole it). After some time, Bounc3's computer bricked, causing him to lose all his files, including the original Crying Soul song file. Bounc3, not wanting to let the project die entirely, took the WIP file from his newgrounds and, by ear, recreated the song. Finally, after some tinkering, he released the song we know today as Crying Soul.

Another interesting fact is that B0UNC3 spilled coffee on his computer before he released it anywhere. There is one video kn KZfaq that has the original. The channel is B0UNC3official. Check it out.

I am a bit confused. I've always been thinking that this melody was made by DJ Splash. Now I know it's Bounc3's, and DJ Raaban mixed it. But where can I find DJ Raaban's mix? All I can find over internet is DJ Raaban - Crying soul (DJ Splash remix).

It's incredible to read through the comments and find out how many other people find this song incredibly nostalgic because of Platform Racing 2. It's been years since I played that game, but it got me hooked on Crying Soul. That started a whole techno phase for me, which eventually evolved into epic music. (i.e. Two Steps from Hell, Epic Score, Les Friction...) So thanks PR2 for introducing me to a whole new world of awesome music.

Platform racing 2 :)) so many good friends I made when I was like 9, now I'm 21, we've all changed and grown up, haven't spoke in many many years (in the same way we did when we were younger at least). Sucks man, the feeling you had being sat on that chair from the computer just over a decade ago simply feels.. different nowadays, though that feeling comes back just ever so slightly when I hear these tracks, but never to it's entirety which sucks :/ Best of luck to you all who are in a similar position, when you're having a existential sort of crisis just know you're lucky to cherish these memories at the very least, club penguin, old .mp3's, bandicam, youtube poops, old rage comics, xat chatrooms, gta mythbusters, arby n the chief, mw2, halo reach, wind waker bloopers, mario 64 bloopers, 009 sound system, like sheeshh 😳 very long time ago now.

Its such an amazing melody he came up with: its like the only decent piece of music I've ever heard that just keeps replaying the same two melodies over and over again, and its not only decent but, amazingly beautiful and nostalgic, though i strongly prefer the techno/trance version. I think this is the only piece of music I ever decided not to listen to often because its so, SO good but, repetitive. Every time I hear it its after forgetting for a long time, and then it sounds so fresh and beautiful.

PR2 is a game on a social gaming website called Kongregate. The games full name is Platform Racing 2, and this song featured on it. To this day it still remains among the most played games of all time :)
