3a curls are misunderstood. They can shapeshift from wavy to curly, and people immediately think that if your hair gets weighed down into a wave then your hair is wavy. smh

I have 2B waves, my hair is similar when first forming but could never stay in the curl that hers does. type 3 curls can hold their own shape much better than type 2. both types can be highly variable depending on styling, more so than tighter curl patterns.

@@isavel.xo97 same i still don’t know, i’m still transitioning and i don’t really use that many popular products so i don’t really know what to do. my hair doesn’t get weighed down that much cause it’s so thick but it’s always flat at the roots if i don’t put it a pineapple or something, i don’t use gel cause it makes my hair rlly greasy no matter what. at the end of the day my hair is ALWAYS sticking out, straight, wavy, or looks like a poodle

Soo true! I literally have 2C waves on the first top layers and then the rest is 3A with a cpl 3B curls. It's annoying it's not all consistently 1 type of curl, but that's just what hair does sometimes I guess.

I love these products. They completely saved my hair. My hair was bleached damaged. I did a HUGE chop and used these. I feel like the shampoo made my hair thicker and the styling products made my curl came back. I like to leave the styling products on until I get a cast. Then I scrunch and diffuse. That method works best for me

Great review of these 3 products! One word of caution: most fine/medium strand curlies don't need the leave in AND the curl clump cream. One or the other will suffice, the combo is far too moisturizing & can weigh down curls. The creme gel is AMAZING on top of either.

Tysm for this comment!! I have 3b curls that get super weighed down and I just recently thought if a leave in is necessary! It seems like it either need leave in and gel or hair cream and gel! This confirms my suspicion! 🎉

Could you do an overnight routine/a sleep routine? I’ll go to sleep and then the next day I’ll lose my curls 😭

If you lose curls the next day (im a rough sleeper so i screw mine up alot) id recommend a silk pillowcase or satin, silk cap, or silk scarf to prevent so much frizz and friction. I also recommend get a spray bottle like hers to rewet the next day and fix it easier! Some people find it easier to sleep in like a loose pineapple bun with a scrunchy but that stretches my roots too much so i just let it loose.

try the cream and the gel only , also you applied way too much of the leave in, regardless, your hair came out amazing ! also was your hair crunchy like did it feel like it was gonna hold the curls in place ? bc i really like me a lil bit of hold and don’t know weather to go for the cream gel or not

You should really try the “As I am “ line specially the original leave in conditioner(smells amazing!) and curling jelly. The jelly is super lightweight and leaves my hair so shiny. It’s also available at most drugstores ❤️

Your hair turned out great! I find these three stylers don't need to be used all together. I like the leave in paired with the gel, because I need a lot of moisture. The avocado rose cream doesn't do too much for me, I'm still experimenting with it.

When my hair is wet mine looks like urs maybe a bit curlier but when it dries its super frizzy and my curls fall out and become misshapen. But I can't spend alot of money on products so any suggestions on what to get????

Try using only a curl activator cream and a curling jelly or gel, whatever u like most. Those are the essencials. If u could afford one more throw in an oil for the tips for when ur hair dries

ah I’ve now encountered this people not thinking my hair is actually curly thing now and I used to not care cuz what’s the big deal about that misperception?except now I see what the problem is cuz it’s causing me to be at a loss of good advice About my hair health because people don’t get my hair I guess. My hair is super fragile and turned crazy since I got off bc which I’d been on since I was 14. On a good day my hair is a lot like Gigi’s but on a bad day it is insane looking like not cute wavy but like a hay bail full of snakes smh I can’t get my routine riiiiiiight my hair hates everything and I think my head just wants my hair to break off till I go bald :( Ps I even tried no shampoo and my hair was not getting oily but even drier wtf??? Anyone relate?

How did you keep your curls the next day? Do you sleep with a satin pillow case or bonnet ? I always have trouble keeping my curls after sleeping 😭 I find that satin bonnet flatten my curls.

I’m not sure if you mentioned this in your last vids but could you explain how you incorporate more protein into your routine?? Does the products make your hair feel crunchy? I hate when I use products to contain my frizzy curls, and it ends up feeling stiff.

It doesn’t feel crunchy!! And whenever my hair does feel a bit crunchy, I basically scrunch it (when it’s dry) with my hands alone or witn a little hair oil and it “breaks the cast”/ gets rid of the crunch!

I have the leave-in moisturizer, because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to invest in all the products to not be impressed. It leaves my hair shiny (good shine, not oily looking), super soft and it smells amazing! I get what you’re saying though cause that’s why I didn’t want to invest in a bunch of products; a lot of brands leave your hair crunchy or frizzy. Granted, I don’t go insane diffusing my hair (I’m lazy with it), so most products leave me disappointed. Maybe that’s my personal problem lol but I was impressed right from the start with the leave-in conditioner and will be buying more products! I definitely think it’s worth it as someone with thick, curly hair. Idk my exact classification, but my hair is wavy when wet but very curly when dry. Hope this helps

Try a silk hair bonnet, you can buy on Amazon. & put it on overnight, once you wake up the next day just refresh your curls!
