In farm life there are trained goats referred to as Judas goats that lead the rest of the pack into the slaughterhouse. Upon a second viewing you might notice when the group is being lead to the dining hall, they're being lead by a few goats....

And she never had to worry about money. She went to Brown, but her parents paid for it. I guess she also represents the spoiled upper class children, in total contray to Slowik's childhood. "Student loans?" - "N-no" - "I'm sorry, but you're dying." Actually, I loved how the actress had that total look of horror in her eyes.

Erin is a provider of experiences. So she engaged the Chef in a role play bringing him back to the times of being a short order cook when he loved cooking. That's why she was able to escape the fire. But here's the question. With the emphasis put on what happens if someone eats their meat a day late, did she escape death?

The meat in the smoke house has been smoked, smoked meat is dry. Jerky is dried, but it's the same thing, minus smokey taste. You cannot fry it, it will turn into sad cremated bits. The hamburger is made from fresh beef that has never seen the smoke house. So she's fine.

But she only has the opportunity to escape because she’s working class. The Chef wouldn’t even have entertained her, had she been upper class/privileged. I’m just surprised the black people in the staff didn’t get out of there lol.

I think she still dies in the end bc the meat could have been a day over like they talked about at the smokehouse in her burger bc no one was supposed to live even though she was never a part of it

She didn’t die. The hamburger was fresh meat. The meats in danger of going bad were the smoked meats.
