I would recommend adding more stitches between the 3 motifs along the neck. This is the "limiting" factor for how high the sweater sits on your collar bone. The wider this part is, the lower it will sit. This is especially important if you add a double collar like I did. There isn't much stretch in the first section (top down) around the clavicle due to the floats and colorwork so having that extra separation of plain knitting will add some give/stretch.
Yellow Speckled and Teal sweater: Spun Right Round "Rumble in Brighton" (3skeins), and SRR Teal - both in Squish Merino
Black textured sweater: Lana Gatto Super Soft in Black. I did the embroidery floats and then purled where the contrasting color was supposed to be on the chart.
Blue and White Sweater: Berroco Modern Cotton in Navy and Cream. I used Erica Hauser's Songbird Mittens motifs along with some from the Bouquet Sweater. I played with creating the motifs along the raglan increases as an alternative shaping for the original sweater.
Scarf: Isager Bomulin (Linen/Cotton blend) #47 held triple for the navy CC. Several different cottons used in body. Universal Yarns, Sami by Amano, Silk by Lang Yarns, etc. (I would recommend a mercerized cotton or silk for a sheen contract to the dull linen. I wasn't a fan of the Amano, too pilly, I actually preferred Universal Yarns).
Table Runner: Universal Yarns Cotton and Flax (100% linen) held double for CC and border. Instead of connecting the pattern in the round as with the scarf, I knit it flat in one panel. .I also mirrored the second run through of the pattern so that laying on a table, the motifs would be "right-side" up from both ends.
