What a huge liquor store! This is a favorite liquor store of ours in Elizabethtown, KY! They always have a great selection of bourbon, common and hard to find. Not to mention, fair prices! We are not local to them so we can't speak about how they handle allocated bottles. But we can tell you that when we have visited in the past, we have seen some allocated bottles on the shelf.
Every time we've visited, they always have a great selection of Store Picks too!

Something you may want to consider is increasing your frames per second to 60. It will make that panning much clearer.

Thanks for the advice! I am sure it's also my hand holding for sure and trying not to be so "in your face" when videoing in a store. I just got a new DJI Pocket 2, check it out...it's a really small footprint and easier to carry around than a cell phone and not big like our DSLR's!! Do you have a channel too? Would love to follow ya, if so!

That Luca pick is stellar. I bought that specific bottle about 2 months ago. 36% rye and sweeeeeet. It's actually distilled by Wilderness Trail. I had a good discussion with John about it and he even let me sample it before purchasing. That's my favorite store. I live 30 minutes from there in Leitchfield. John owns a couple smaller stores there too. He's got a great palate. All of his picks are awesome.

We just visited Wilderness Trail last fall and are really excited to see where they go now that Campari bought them. We actually hadn't heard about Luca until a few years ago when we attended a wedding and the groom's uncle told us he was one of the investors at Luca! We've been following their journey ever since! You are lucky to live so close to an awesome store! We love store picks and of all the liquor stores we've ventured through, this is TOP notch!! Cheers!

You should! Totally worth the visit!! Don't forget to also check out the Kroger Spirits store on Dolphin Dr (something like that). They often have great stuff too and at msrp!!

I always get jealous when I see all the store picks in different states. Then I see the prices on stuff like OWA and WSR and suddenly I’m not so upset about living in Ohio anymore. 😂

I really like the Whiskey Row series. It's made at Kentucky Artistans distillery where they make Jeffersons. Got to try it on the tour and liked it so I grabbed a bottle.

The area where it said "bar items are not for sale" did it just mean the bottles sitting on the bar, or the shelves also, because a lot of those are pretty common stuff.

That area was the owner's special collection. I thought the same thing about some "common stuff" but a lot of those were store picks that he did so it appears they were more common than they really were. It was a fun store to browse through! There was a lot more to that store obviously but we generally only focus on the bourbon/whiskey areas!

Oh I agree, I love the fan tail version, made a point of getting a bottle before it switched bottle shape, it is on the top center of the bar shelf.

Definitely a great store!! Pretty much every liquor store we hunted that weekend had those available! All depends on the size of the pocket book you are willing to open up. For us, not "their" prices!

$71 is not a good price for the 12, at least in my area. Pretty easy to find at $69.99 but you catch it for $59.99 on a fairly regular basis. Absolute killer bottle at $59.99 too

So far, we've only seen it in KY, in fact, we bought our tall 750 ml from this store a year ago, now that I think about it. I think you can also find the skinny bottle out in Chicago area in a chain of liquor stores called Binny's. What part of Jersey are you from, my husband's family came from NJ.

Who knew!? On one of our trips down to KY, we tried to go to Boone County, they were closed at the time and we decided that we wanted to wait until we got to visit that before we bought any...but maybe we should try some now. If I remember correctly, it was very affordable!

I dunno....But we enjoyed looking at it! ;-) Kind of like a little museum, I guess. lol At least you could find a big selection of bourbons and whiskeys at their store! Did you see all those Weller SR selling at list price!!?? Of all the liquor stores we saw that weekend, WSR was a lot higher priced than that! In Northern IN, we can't touch that for less than $100. I guess my point is, even though the owner may appear to be teasing us with his NFS collection, at least there is availability and fair pricing on a lot of great bourbon!!

We are not Scotch drinkers...like we dabbled and so far not too much of a fan. We have a Speyside and a Monkey Shoulder but that's it...well, plus we have a Balvenie, rum cash finsihed... Some day we "might" try more. And tips for novice scotch people?

its so stupid to have a bunch of "Not for sale" bourbons in your shop. You don't impress anyone by having liquor you aren't selling and it's just dumb from a commercial insurance standpoint. What's funny is an insurance company will only pay the the stock price of the museum bourbons (if they are actually inventory). So the shops with a full lineup of BTAC and Pappy at secondary would only get a few hundred back in insurance premium if the place burned down or they were stolen.

I'm not a huge fan of show boating for sure... cool to see the collection but I will not pay stupid prices to just say you own something hard to get.
