Hey, at the 28:00 mark you mark the lines for the brackets, but you don't move them out 3/8's of an inch like you said in part 2 of your cabinet making video. Do we not need to move them out? I love those drawer slides because of your cabinet video.

I just started getting seriously into wood working, something I always enjoyed since I was a kid helping my grandpa build things. I'm really glad I discovered your videos on KZfaq. Not only did I find them entertaining (funny guy!), But they have really encouraged me to do more projects (I normally would of been apprehensive to tackle) and more importantly...do them right. I'm still, always amazed, on how you get things to always have a snug fit...just amazing!! Thanks for sharing your incredibly professional talent with us beginner's ...you really make wood working more fun and interesting.

Yes! I am 100% with you on using Blum Blumotion undermount slides. All other slides are inferior. I would have made the front faceframe so that it puts the seam of the end trim and faceframe so it was on the right side, instead of the face. I do like your rabbit idea for scribing to the wall. For my primary choice in hinges I use Blumotion clip-top hinges on the doors, and the corresponding Blum 175H6000 brackets attached to the faceframe (for overlay) or cabinet side (for frameless cabinets with overlay doors).

Jason makes this look so easy. But I have a feeling there are a ton of little details that he has worked out ahead of time that would be gotchas. For instance - the drawer slides are a particular length. And without mentioning it he must have designed everything so that the length of the drawer slides would perfectly match the depth of his cabinets minus the 3/4" width of the piece that he used to mount the back of the drawer slides to. I have no experience with drawer slides so that would be a little detail that I would probably miss when designing this. And I feel like getting the width of the cabinet doors just right is not so simple either. He just whipped them together - boom, boom, boom - and they fit perfectly.

nice dude! it's great to keep the mental chops up by watching these videos on builds such as these. and you keep it simple, trim the fat and give the info that's essential to the build. really like the streamlined approach and it really is nice to watch this video just to keep the mental thing going, even tho i'm not planning to build anything like this in the near future.
