This took a little bit to get used to kzfaq.infoUgkxfzbDkCRyv3CFXnLZI4APZtRRuG2uRmP2 but once I got the hang of it this has been an awesome tool. The slow start and the adjustable speeds are just what I needed to control the cutting and polishing I needed to do. Adjusting the side handle from left-to-right helped in a few spots. the top bar was basically useless, as it failed to keep it's seat under pressure. This tool is a little heavy, though. I am a big guy and not in the best of shape, but could still muscle this thing around my boat in this summer's heat. This thing is worth it's weight in gold given the shine I was able to bring back to my heavily oxidized boat. If you need it, buy it, you won't regret it.

You can use that trick when installing baseboard between two walls, only you don't need the the piece of wood, it'll just snap tightly into place. Of course the baseboard has to be long enough to be able to bow slightly.

Jason, I might live in a country where the average monthly salary is around 500$, we don't have forests so wood is twice as expensive and thanks to the 27% VAT, even tools cost more, but your presentation and enthusiasm lets me forget all of it and inspires me to keep going.

Poland ...feel your pain Average person earn 600$ per month Renting 30m2 cost 400-600$ Food 150$ Phone etc 30$ Other bills like water etc 100$ So its impossible to live alone If u want a house ..oh man... Prices are the same if u already have one so u will pay taxes etc for it like for renting 30m2 And i dont even add to that wood etc for heating (around 1200$ per year for 100-150m2 house or if u have heat pump around 600$) Fuel is like 2$ so u spend like 100$++ per month to drive to work And what u left with ? Nothing? Average dewalt tool because of taxes and transport Drill with battery is like 350$ Plywood is like 80$ sheet ... Yes 80$ with your 600$ monthly sallary (lets say u are good welder.... U will earn around 1200$ (good welder in good job) U will spend 500$ house 100$ bills like water electricity , 20$ phone 100$ fuel , food 150$ and ad to your year budget 200$ per month for heating the house Car repair Other taxes And u left with 100$ Per month If u are good welder that works 12h 5 days per week Renting / building a workshop is like 200$ / 30000$ Tools cheap ones 300$ cheapest ones 100$ Do i need to ad festool to the list 😅 Overall we can stay positive only because of vids/tutorials like this So keep them comming 😁

A tip on painting, always start with the edges, and hard to reach places, then the faces. By doing this you avoid over spray, and bad finish on the face.

Playing cards as spacers is genius and the black with the Rubio mud looks great. Making a template for the top is totally worth the effort. Having not done it a couple of times, and then having to screw around trying to make the top look like it actually fit ends up costing you a lot of frustrating work. Nice job, good advice.

Sweeping in my socks, catchy tune, I bit hard to dance to though Dick I give it a 90 lol. Seriously the old unit looks like a pre built unit laid on its side and tacked into place. You always rock everything. This is so impressive. I love it. Come on pocket holes are better than sanding. We know you love sanding.

U can always mock something up with ikea upper 15x 30 cabinet frames, 30 inch base cabinet drawers and 2 by 4 reinforcements for the seating. I went to ikea a few times and found all the stuff in the as is section, 80$ drawer fronts will sell for 5-10$ there. Takes a few visits to get all the parts u need but u can cut the counter prices down to like 25% this way

Where I live a layer of Celotex (PIR) foam insulation on the wall helps to avoid black mould growing in the cold unventilated space behind the cabinet. You lose an inch of interior depth but its not really noticeable.

If you want the bench top to look absolutely perfect against a textured wall you can get color matched caulk and run the smallest bead along the edges. Then wipe all excess off leaving it perfectly level with the bench. It looks so crisp and no one will ever be able to tell that its there but it just makes a good scribe look 10x better.

I really like the way you do your videos. All the information and explanations and reasons why, just great. I like that you show your work, and that I can see you do pretty much all the steps. The way you do it and your narration, makes it informative but also entertaining. I appreciate the way you go about teaching, I feel like I am learning and will be able to apply the learnt knowledge towards projects not necessarily the same as what you showed. Maybe after watching a few hundred more videos of yours and I will change my renovation budget into a power tool budget to try my hand. 😂😅🤞

Try swapping that drill out for an impact the next time you're drilling pocket holes, the impact is noticeably faster and easier. Not sure why drills are still around, they're just crappier slower versions of impacts lol. Drilling through metal? Throw a step bit in an impact, so fast and easy it's like magic

Your double clamping of the pocket holes is crucial. Most times I see people concentrating on keeping them flat, but if they’re not tight together, the angle of the screw will still pull them out of coplanar.

Finishing top and underside of the top board will (help to) stop the wood cupping. It's screwed down so no worries about glue not sticking. I would have liked white oak drawer fronts, but you can do them any time.
