Such beauty, I can never see too much of this region, especially Bourton on the Water. without doubt, its the Bridges over the Windrush River, that makes it unique. The River never gets deeper than 12 inches or so, in normal years. It's so nice to see little Toddler'd paddling in the clean clear water, trying to catch the Ducks , and with their parents at hand of course. Of course, such attractions draw in a great many tourists, so you need to choose your period and Day, carefully.

The Cotswolds is huge and, for the most part, quiet as a mouse. Quite why 95% of all visitors do little more than land on Bourton, Stow and Burford is beyond me. Still, it keeps the rest of it quiet for the rest of us.
