The bowfin get green fins when they are spawning, not because of algae. Also, common carp are not invasive in Michigan. They are naturalized.

The common carp was brought here from Europe way back in the 1800's, it is not native to North America. 😅

Bowfins fins do not turn green because of algae, they turn green when they are spawning. This is probably the most misinformed thing ever said on this channel.
