One thing I think works slightly better when setting center shot, is to set the disc to the side of the arrow- contact is definite, while finding TDC of the shaft is slightly subjective… just something I like to do.

Thanks for the video Kenny. The second axis is something I have done for a couple decades, but the third axis is something fairly new to me. I like good equipment, but I am a cheap sucker so I always bought a cheap plain Jane sight bracket and pins (which is about impossible to find these days). I seen no reason to buy the super expensive sights of today, but now after watching this I think I do. I always thought my angled pins where just the way it had to be and it was at least in part due to the way I hold my bow, but now I'm thinking I may have to bite the bullet and consider spending some serious cash. I have never spent more than $15 on a sight with the exception of the awesome Meprolight pin I added for $20. So it's going to tough, but hopefully I can handle the sticker shock. :-)

Fixing the angle of the pins IS the second axis. Third axis is adjusting the sight like a door hinge to get it pointing in the exact same direction as the arrow. Its only noticed when shooting fairly steep angles like from a tree stand or in field archery, and must be checked with the bow aiming up or downhill in the vice. The Rogue sight advertises third axis adjustment for the bubble level...which isn't true third axis leveling.

Hey Kenny. Great channel!!! I'm new to the archery field and I've been looking at these AXT sights to replace the original sight on my PSE. Was wondering what your opinion is about single pin sights. Pros and cons. Haven't seen/found anything on here about them. Maybe a video about your take on the subject. Thanks.

VikingSenso I know I'm commenting a year late but figure if someone (like me) reads later... I have now shot a fixed 5 pin, a single pin, and am now shooting a moveable 5 pin sight. They all have their pros and cons like anything else but I loved my single pin and love my moveable 5 pin even more! If you want to try a single pin, I recommend the HHA optimizer sight. They are high quality and absolutely rock solid. Pin is super bright and the shield mine had to dampen the pin brightness was amazing. The moveable 5 pin is by far my favorite because it is the best of both worlds. I can shoot 20 to 60 yards but also can crank my sight down and get up to over 100 yards. Most people don't need that but I always practice farther than I normally shoot just in case I ever need to make the shot. I shoot the black gold pure series and it is a phenomenal sight. Friend of mine shoots the cbe moveable sight and it is a little darker pins but awesome as well. My highest recommendation is go try and shoot all of them on your bow. Remember you get what you pay for in sights and the more expensive brands stand behind their sights way better.

If my arrow rest is correct for centershot on my Elite Energy 35, should my string, arrow rest, and sight pins all line up when the bow is at rest? If they do, and the bow shoots off one way or the other, can it be that the arrow rest be out, or must in only be down to technique? If the sights are set off to the left a fair bit in relation to the arrow path, I'm nailing the center of the target. I moved the rest in to the suggested distance in the manual and it improved, but it still seems out a bit. My local pro says I'm not a bad archer, and my form is pretty good. PS My arrows are a tiny bit stiff and heavy for the bow. I'm afraid of arrow failure as it could destroy my career as a musician.

Bubbles are extremely crude and subject to easily change and need to be trued. Never trust a bubble without truing it. They are a great reference, once you proved they are true.

Kenny, my concern is adjusting my pin at 15 - 20 yards. After doing that I worry that at 35 and 40 yards - target shooting that my arrow will hit my sight. Should I be concerned with that? It seems that the farther out I shoot in my pins the closer my sight comes in line with my arrow flight. What are your thoughts on that. Also, I'm more concerned when I put my sight in the holes farther away from y bow , It seems the more dangerous it becomes.
