I own these speakers and you need to do yourself a favour and give them a listen. They do require pairing with a high end source and amplifier though, they are very revealing. Oh, and they do need an extended run in period!

@@Bzz22 I have a Linn Klimax DSM with latest circuitry mods as input and a Chord power amp which is out of production now with 300w output. Nearest in their books would be the Ultima 5.

How good or how strong is the bass? I‘ve got the 702 S2 and they‘ve got a lot of bass. I‘ve heard the 804 is not worth the money. I mean the much cheaper 702 S2 has a bigger midrange driver and 3x16,5 bass driver.

Bass is very tight and plenty deep. They prefer to sit close to the front wall, though. They are a class above the 700 for sure. Killer deal used.

How did you like the tweeter? My ears really isn't compatible with sharp pitched tweeters, feels like my ears are bleeding, so would you be able to listen to these speakers for hours without getting listening fatigue?

The diamond tweeter is one of the showpieces of the 800 series. Our reference system consists of 800 D3, which uses the same tweeter, and we have them on for 8 hours a day, no fatigue at all.

They are very sharp of your source is bad but the better the source is the better they sound. With 96 kHz 24 bit they sound amazing to me. With mp3 it's torture.
