I have this bike and love it, I have bad RA in my hands and thought and thought it be easier on me to have someone else assemble it, but wanted to note that assembly might take some time if you don't live in a bigger or dense area, I live in a smaller town about a hour from Boise and was told someone would contact me about assembly a day or two before it was to be delivered. Not the case here, days after it showed up I hadn't got the call so called them, I was told they would get on it and I should hear something in the next day or two. A couple days went by and nothing. So I called bowflex and said I would do it myself and got my 200 back. It was pretty easy to assemble. About 2 months later I get a call asking when a good time to come assemble my bike would be.

Outstanding thorough review! You're the reason that I recently bought one. Quick question though... Is your resistance knob responsive and does every slight turn or tick, increase or decrease the resistance level by 1 unit? Mine does not seem that responsive or sensitive. If it bothers to even fluctuate, the response is usually delayed. Either way, I don't seem to have complete control over the resistance level. Are they all built like that or did I get a dud? I'm thinking about exchanging it. Anyone who owns or has rode one, please feel free to chime in. Thanks!

Great video and review as always. The only thing I worry about with this bike is if the lean durability holds up after a couple of years. Does it end up getting super lose or not go back to the center smoothly or at all. Guess someone that has had it for awhile can speak up on that part. Again great review!

Really good video, clear and very interesting, especially when you wanna decide wich indoor bike you want to buy :) @TreadmillReviewGuru , I would like to ask you or the community here, if there is something bad about the noise in general to use this bike ? could be regarding at the beginning, but also after 6 months, 1-2 years etc...regarding the quality of components vs assembly, design etc... Thanks in advance

The Velocore doesn't really make any noise. Any noise generated is from music or video on the screen. The magnetic resistance is silent and there's no motor that enables the tilt feature - it's just balance. I don't anticipate noise would be an issue on this bike at any point.

Great review. We have this bike and like it overall. I was curious your thought on the scenic tour rides. The lean and this scenic mode are two big reasons we bought it. The only thing I really struggle with is how slow the camera moves through the scenic. Instead of being a motivator it’s frustrating. Have you figured out how to adjust or speed that up?
@TreadmillReviewGuru

We have noticed that the camera is a bit slow, but it does speed up when you pedal faster, and slow down when you do to make it seem more realistic, which is pretty cool.

I wish they offered this leaning feature on their cheaper bikes. Don't need the touchscreen. I plan to use a vr helmet with vr 360 bike videos on youtube. I think the lean feature would add even more to the immersion while the vr videos turn.

I feel the same. I thought about removing the screen or using the screen as a tablet stand to watch whatever I want. I am hearing that when riding the bike...off the saddle it's difficult/ standing up off the seat while using the pedals while you ride... is hard to balance. It does not feel like riding a real bike

I think between the two we would pick the C6. It's a simpler machine that will require less maintenance and last longer over time. They are both great machines but whenever we hop on Bowlfex bikes we always gravitate towards the C6. Hopefully that helps!

This bike is on sale for Black Friday and I'm thinking about getting it, how is the feature working of the side to side motion after just this amount of time?
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 жыл бұрын
We like the lean feature - it adds an element of interest. I would compare this to one of those motorcycle arcade rides that shifts side to side. It's weighted appropriately so you don't feel like you are going to fall off and it certainly makes the ride more fun. I'm not sure it will really fire up your abs as advertised, but it is more engaging than a stationary bike.

This is a fantastic review! Thank you for being so detailed. How would this bike stand up to the Nordictrack s22i? Do you think the lean mode versus incline/decline provides a better overall workout?
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 жыл бұрын
We like the lean feature on the Velocore because it isn't motorized. You just use your body weight to shift side to side. I would compare the Velocore to riding one of those arcade motorcycles. It adds an engagement feature that makes the ride more fun, but honestly isn't going to fire up your abs or anything. But, it's also not another component that may fail. The s22i has a motorized incline/decline motor - and we have heard reports that the motor can fail prematurely. However, the incline feature is a bit more engaging when you are following an outdoor route where the incline is automated to match the terrain. Neither feature will really burn more calories than a standard, stable bike - but they add engagement options that make riding more fun.
@kevinperot
@kevinperot 2 жыл бұрын
@@TreadmillReviewGuru you guys are amazing! So you still pick the s22i as the top bike? I’m so torn between Pelaton plus, VeloCore and the Nordictrack. I wish I had all three in my home for a test ride. 😂🤣
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 жыл бұрын
@@kevinperot I'd rank the Peloton top for indoor classes, music, and social community. The s22i is best for outdoor rides and offers the most realistic ride experience. The Velocore lean feature is structurally sound and adds a different element to riding. The Velocore also allows you to watch external apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or Disney+) on the screen while you are working out (you have to pay for JRNY to access this feature). They all have their merits. My personal favorite is the s22i because I love the outdoor routes (this is Kristen). But each will appeal to different users based on your needs and desires.

@@TreadmillReviewGuru thank you for such an in-depth and quick response on the main differences between the three bikes. I believe I mentioned on a different post that I also had a concerned about the wobble on the monitor of the Nordictrack. This could have been poor installation from the sporting goods store in which I looked at the floor model. I took a quick video of that, I wish there was a way I could post it in the comment section and ask you if that was normal.

I like using the actual bike but there are problems they need to fix if you want to use zwift. The locked monitor is annoying. Also the jrny app is horrible. 1. add the zwift app so i can display zwift on the bowflex screen instead of on my laptop. unluck the screen so we can add apps like zwift and youtube. 2. why does the manual workout stop at 1:39... i regularly bike for 4+ hours. 3. you cant do the jrny off bike videos... the monitor pauses when you stop pedaling. this is a poor design. please fix. 4. add watts to screen... why so i have to connect to another app to see my watts.

Can you use the leaning feature while standing and sprinting on the bike? All videos of the "leaning feature" are sitting....
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 жыл бұрын
You can... as long you have good balance and core strength. The bike itself is well-supported, so even if you stand up and lean, the bike isn't going to tip over. It all comes down to the balance and strength of the rider. I (Kristen) found I had to really shift my weight to get the bike to fully lean, while our larger reviewer Matthew was able to lean rather easily, so the size of the rider influences your experience as well.
@93smintz

You can get a great workout on either the Velocore or a treadmill. The Velocore is smaller, lighter, and quieter than a treadmill. But a treadmill may be more familiar to various users since walking is something everyone can do. Honestly, it comes down to which one you think you'll use more.

The fact that Netflix and other streaming services are locked behind the $20/month journey paywall makes it pointless to pay over $2.2k if you intend to bike to a show. I'll be returning mine for a $600 bike and a 55in 4k tv.

Serious question... can the monitor be changed out to use any other monitor? I love the ability to move side-to-side as if you're turning, but the monitor situation where they lock you out of your own apps unless you pay $20/month is just stupid. Is there any other bike similar to the velocore?
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 жыл бұрын
As far as we know, the Velocore is the only bike that leans from side to side. The Nordictrack s22i has incline and decline, but it also requires a subscription. Maybe check out the Wahoo KickR bike...? It inclines and declines as well and does not include a screen. But the bike will sync with any number of 3rd party apps such as Zwift, Sufferfest, etc. It's designed for professional cyclists, so it's on the pricier side, but has some impressive tech.

water bottle??? where? how much is subscription? when leaning can it tip over ? can you lean too far?
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 жыл бұрын
There are 2 water bottle holders below the handlebars. JRNY is $19/month or $149/year. It does require some effort when riding to use the leaning feature, so it limits how far you can lean from side to side. You shouldn't have to worry about leaning too far. The bike is also heavy at 158 lbs and has wide stabilizers to keep it planted to the floor so it shouldn't tip over when you're using it.

I just got my and what is bothering the most is the videos where you get to ride in cities. The video dont speed up much not matter how fast I paddle, I see others casual bikers in the screen passing me. Why I am slow that someone riding casual? I feel no excitement riding like turtle.
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 жыл бұрын
The speed of the video is pre-set, so even if you ride faster, the video remains the same speed. It was probably filmed from the top of a small car or even a drone, so the film speed isn't very fast. It's designed to provide a visual experience while you ride, but doesn't adjust to your cycling speed.

This would be fine for me as I had no intention of paying £15a month to have full access to other world explorer videos. But six months on they sent an app update which resulted in me loosing those three videos & replaced with just one new video!! Not a very good one at that!! For the amount of money I paid for the bike I’d expected three free videos. I put in a complaint but to no avail. So be aware there is a catch. A very greedy company in my mind!!!
