Face lathering. Most enjoyable part of this job, have a great shaves.

Cool shave and some excellent points regarding the bowl lathering process. Personally for me, I prefer to face lather as well but do enjoy bowl lather every now and then. Some key points in favour of bowl lather for me are - the aroma/ scent profile of s soap or a cream is better pronounced when lathered in a bowl. Usage of less cream or soap when using a bowl. And the sheer enjoyment of looking at the bowl is amazing. And yet, I prefer to face lather ;) for it saves me time. :D

I think logically speaking face lathering is probably better. Because like you said it gives more time for the product to do its work. But i think most importantly because the action of face lathering really gets your whiskers conditioned and sticking up to be shaved you know. But to each their own.

Hi. Great video. I do a 'hybrid' method most of the time. With a tea spoon I put 1-2 gram of soap in my bowl. I load my brush from my bowl and basically the lather is 70% ready at this point. Then I face lather and usually add more water til I feel the lather is nice and hydrated. When I am pressed for time I face lather though. You can have a good shave when the lather is not 100% perfect 🙂 have a good one, it is almost Friday

I premix soap in bowl for grease consistency and then lather on face 😂
