Thanks for the video, if it wasn't for people like you sharing stuff you wouldn't know what you are buying. You probably deserve a medal for getting a bowl off that thing. I was thinking about one for just pen turning. But I don't think that I will bother. Thanks for the video though.

it actually works,just be aware of tool limitations,it’s starter machine for smaller projects,i made loads of tool handles,small bowls,spin tops etc,aluminum base should be secured and tools sharp, well if it gets you,then it’s down the rabbit hole,as with every hobby,bigger lathe,better chisels ,more chisels,more chucks ….🤣🤣🤣

89€ and people want it to work as if it cost 5000€ The internet is so hilarious!!! :D The lathe is excellent!!!!!! For 89€... They want to buy a bike expecting to ride a Ferrari and still say thank you for warning me not to buy the bike. Because I wanted to ride at 200km/h. Internet, the world's best free comedy show!
@HenriqueZorzan3 жыл бұрын
My friend I don't use a lathe, but you can see in the video that the table moves! It should be a safer bench. On the right side of the lathe the nut is completely loosened, and it is obvious that you should have tightened the nut, you don't need a lathe to know that. Then people see it shaking all over the place and think it's the lathe's fault...

The machine can do the job just don't be hurry take your time and use sharp tools for the motor is not stoped. Maybe I will buy one to do mallet and beer mug

All the Negative Comments,unyet you manage to make some nice projects with your lathe,i believe they are smart little lathes made for small projects,like beads & fishing floats & yoyo,s & stuff. Thank you for Sharing.

@@michalgranacka2934 I agree. I don't have one yet, but I know Parkside and they produce great tools (bosch). I don't know why he didn't balance the block first before detailing. It looks pretty good to me for what I expect is a very reasonable price.

The reason the motor is slowing is because if you dig into the wood the belt slows down 👍
@birzanlucian20514 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that thing has no belt. It's direct drive and the motor is way underpowered for the job. Maybe the wood is too hard/wet, but that shouldn't make such a difference. Thanks for the video! I was just about to drop the hammer on one

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a52RlNyVu97XhI0.html If you look in the description of this video, there is a link to one you can purchase. Bear in mind the adaptor is in Imperial not Metric, so it's slightly loose to begin with, but once you tighten it down and attach the chuck it's fine.

This motor doesnt seem to have much power, also are your turning chisels blunt too ?
@WoodWorkingbg4 жыл бұрын
Yes the motor is quite weak and often stops, the chisels are not blunt but of poor quality material. The chisel I work on the video costs as much as a lathe parkside.

What a lot of snobbery from some people on here. It is a beginners lathe. Try it and see if you take to wood turning and then if the answer is yes, you can upgrade to a better piece of equipment. Or maybe go out and spend £2k upwards and find out turning is not for you. I certainly know which route I would suggest.

Very poor technique, improper tool use, big blank and blunt tools . . . there’s nothing wrong with the lathe, but it is a cheap hobby machine and you are expecting too much from it.
