I surprisingly agree. For some reason, this all makes sense to me. Also, I think we can all agree that when bowser's future self barges in the castle of yoshis island is hilarious xD

Kamek actual wants Baby Mario and Baby Luigi because he had a prophecy that the 2 twin brothers would bring disaster to the Koopa Clan, we learn about this in the manual. The stork isn't attacked in Yoshi's Island DS, Yoshi's Island DS takes place after Yoshi's New Island. In DS Baby Mario and Luigi had already been delivered by the stork to their parents and are living in the Mushroom Kingdom. Kamek and the Toadys are going around snatching up all the babies throughout the world. The stork catches wind of this and fights the Toadys rescuing Baby Mario and Baby Peach. Baby Wario was trying to take Baby Bowser's treasure. Bowser went back in time to to capture 7 stars the fled to the past and hid inside 7 children. Problem with this, Time Travel is introduced by E. Gadd and thus Bowser could not travel back in time until E. Gadd creates it. Bowser actually starters in kidnapping schemes in Partners in Time as Baby Bowser. In the future it's Super Mario Bros where Bowser does his first invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom as an adult. The characters are never implied to have any power, and the spirits could have easily left after the threat of Bowser was gone. Problem the Donkey Kong in YIDS is not the same one we see in the modern games.

I'd like to mention that Mario also time travels. In New Yoshi's Island, Bowser and Mario are revealed at the end of the game to have traveled back in time to assist their younger selves. Bowser to stall and halt the younger baby Mario; Mario disguises himself as a walking pipe to constantly provide more time for baby Mario.
