Thanks for pointing out the ‘EXTRUDE/NEW BODY’ option. Not knowing there was an option was really giving me a headache with some of my early designs attempts. Excellent example of designing something that every wood worker should know how to do. Thanks again for taking the time.

Thanks, Rusty! I do wish they make that badge icon larger. It's easy to overlook and sometimes hard to select (from the computer versions).

At 1:00 I don't get arrows or the copy badge showing up. Is this because I have a newer version of Shapr3D at this point? I'm stuck...

Yeah, what you show at 1:30 doesn't happen for me. When I draw that first .25" box and try to copy it to make the box joints, the box is connected to the edges of the board. When I copy it, I copy the bottom edge of the drawer front, as well. So far, I can't figure out how to draw that .25" box w/o it automatically attaching it to the drawer front box. I'm on an iPad, btw

I'm having the same issues also all my sketches keep trying to be place on the same plane vs a new one like in the video

@0:55 : I do not get the arrows to move the rectangle. Tried many times over new. I also tried with a rectangle that is not on the face of the board, but same problem. When I go out of sketch and try to copy the rectangle, it also moves the corner of the board.

Hi Tim. Are you using Shapr3D on Mac, Windows or iPad? I still get the arrow on my end (on Mac), so am wondering if there is a difference between platforms - otherwise, it may be a setting somewhere. Cheers, Kevin

I had some issues with that as well. I think I had to go in and select each line of the rectangle before I got it to show up. And hide the board when doing so because it kept getting caught in the selection. As I said in my own comment... there are parts of the workflow that are... "fiddly".

Ran into a small problem here - Apparently, you can't export in Shapr3D's native format if you are using the free version. I thought I'd give the program a test drive to see if it would be a better option for me than the one I've been using. In some ways it's better, some ways more "fiddly". The export limitation... and the insane inflation for the monthly rate... I'm having serious second thoughts here.

What program have you been using? I recommend (and personally use Fusion 360) for most workstreams. You can sign up for their free personal use license which has less restrictions than Shapr3D's.

@@PDOShapr3d I just downloaded Fusion 360 again - played with it for a little bit before switching over to FreeCAD. I've been using FreeCAD for about a year or so, and while I do like some aspects of it, there are some quirks that I have had some issues with. And, to be fair to it, I've mainly been puttering with it on my own, so I've been hunting up some tutorials for it as well.

Go to make the knob at the end... Midpoint plane...check! Shift perspective to the left side of the drawer face...check! Draw the vertical line to draw the knob off on...check! Draw knob like you show...check! go to revolve the knob...and discover that the line I drew wound up on the edge of the drawer face, and NOT on the plane, like the one you drew. WHYYYYY?!?!?!?!
