What if she hadn't picked the frozen Frozen? I mean, they must be told which ones to pick. It's not that they both know what's in the boxes, but they know which boxes to pick. Because they're not gonna go to the trouble of keeping a Frozen DVD in a block of ice in the freezer and keep putting it in the box until someone picks it.

No it wasn't. She has already revealed the box was heavy. So the cards didn't make sense.

Except, it was clear that the "heavy" statement slipped out. She didn't think about the fact that she let out a clue, which is why Jimmy laughed and told her so. Also, cards assembled in the shape of a salamander or gecko makes no sense. It would be really hard to do and you would need a lot of cards. Since she also said they were the cards that were not used in the pack, this would mean that they would need a to collect a lot of these cards from many decks. The whole lie made no sense and I could see why she said she was a bad liar. Terrific actress though.

I'm always surprised at how bad actors are at this. Don't look at the object while you're lying then pause while making up the lie. If you were telling the truth you wouldn't look at the object while describing it, so then it becomes obvious it's a lie when you're glaring at it and taking pauses :/

ethan doell We don't agree there is no point in going further. But I'll explain my viewpoint: after just a glance of something so strange you wouldn't need to look at it again to truthfully describe it (these object are always simple to explain but odd). So to continue to look at it and pause you're giving away that you are now fabricating a lie and struggling to make up something that isn't there. If I see a Rubick's Cube in Jello and I wanted to tell the truth, it would take like 1 second to spit it out. Any longer and it's quite obvious I'm lying about what's not there. Of course you could use reverse psychology with this info, but the dumb celebs don't.

Just because they're an actor doesn't mean they know how to lie properly, that's a bit of a cheap assumption.

That's not necessarily true. Some people WOULD look at it while describing it. It's the pausing that gives it away. Anyway, that's not how Jimmy guessed. He guessed by tricking her into telling the TRUTH about something, so he could see the difference. It's a common way to tell if someone's lying.
