VOCABULARY: 1. connoisseur (n): an expert on matters involving the judgement of beauty, quality or skill in art, food or music Ex: You are a biscuits connoisseur (video) 2. nibble (v): bite sth with small bites, esp food Ex: He nibbled her ear playfully (Oxford) 3. dunk (v): to put food quickly into liquid before eating it Ex: She sat reading a magazine, dunking cookies in her coffee (Oxford) 4. go-to (adj): person or place that somebody goes to for help, advice or information Ex: He's my go-to guy for business advice (Oxford) 5. foodstuff (n): any substance that is used as food Ex: Cross-border trade in foodstuffs and consumer goods is increasing (Oxford) 6. sustenance: food that people or animals need in order to live Ex: Potatoes were their only means of sustenance 7. consumable (adj): intended to be bought, used and then replaced 8. take the biscuit (idm): to be the most surprising, annoying, etc. thing that has happened or that somebody has done Ex: My life is incredibly boring, but today took the biscuit: absolutely nothing happened. 9. (get) a sugar rush: get a quick blast of energy from eating s.th containing lots of sugar 10. ingrained (adj): (of a habit, an attitude, etc.) that has existed for a long time and is therefore difficult to change Ex: ingrained prejudices My favourite expression: Sweet treat make my mouth water (idm): I want to eat it come in all shapes, sizes come to depend eat them in moderation
