As a Horde main always let down by the fact that I couldn't play a dwarf, even though there are other races like Ogres and Gnolls who are higher up my want list I see this as an absolute win.

Interesting discussion! I am not really hyped by the Earthen, but I do like the idea of the "outcast" clan joining the Horde... and the possibility of the Alliance being wrong. If they have some spiky tones, that would be great! Let's see where the storyline would go! :D

Blood Elves were once an Alliance race, and the Void Elves were once Blood Elves. Like the Pandaren could just make it like they choose where each individual feels where their allegiance aligns. I personally like a Vrykul race or something like a tall Human with more viking vibes, similar to Kul Tiran. Side Note: I like I stumbled upon a channel that doesn't outright make fun of Pandaren I've wanted to play one since the MOP trailer, but most places I look people made fun of em.. Might try it out it finally. 😅

Great discussion! Ban's scenario of this being a means of representing Horde ideals in Titan stories is probably the only way I'd be grudgingly okay(ish) with Earthen on Horde. Still, I don't know. Even that feels like it's simply attaching Alliance-flavored characters to the Horde to have more excuses to continue to write cosmic stories without having to worry about involving more Horde races. But I fully admit that's probably just me justifying the gut 'ick' response to further diluting the uniqueness of each faction. I'll have to see if the lore manages to shift my feelings on the matter as we learn more about the Earthen, but it's going to be a hard sell. Either way, the one thing from this discussion I can agree with wholeheartedly is that it's a crime Aysa hasn't been given more lore.

I think they are neutral. As always. Earthen have always been neutral and with the present state of the world, they aren't 'joining' the Horde. But the same could be said for Pandaren? Do they really belong to the Horde? No not really. In fact, they were originally supposed to be an Alliance Race. But they are neutral. Same with the dracythyr.

to be honest the earthen are a weak attempt to keep players interested. How many more forgotten areas are we going to be subjected too in this game. its getting old.

The Horde already has humans (Dead), Night Elves (Nightborn), High elves (Blood Elves) and now dwarves (Earthen) . How disgusting that the Alliance loses everything that makes it unique.

Story telling wise ... If we are working and fighting along side the Earthen, why would you add a completely different race as playable? Dracthyr, pandas, both were alongside the player. Earthen is already in split factions. If they cant decide on a philosophy, how could they decide that they only work with alliance? You WANTED to play as the joke race of panda? Had to turn it off.... Not well thought out talking point
