The sound of a train sounds soothing. As a child me and my friends would play in the train yard then camp under the train bridge. Go to the Dalton, GA old freight depot at the diamond and wait for a southbound CSX train pulling tank cars. There is nothing soothing about the way those wheels squeel after crossing over the NS rails and bends parallel to be them. It's so loud and so piercing that it feels like they are slicing your brain in half.

Your footage of the American Landscape mesmerizes me. It is so beautiful to see how much land our nation has that isn't disturbed by a metropolitan city, airport, or ugly suburban neighborhood. Truly a rare and welcome sight for sore eyes. Also, your riding in trains the old fashioned way satisfies this locomotive fan.

When living in Raytown MO. In my teens & preteens we had a track not 100 yards away . A train would run from 9:30 pm and another at 10:30 pm and they would run for at least 20m to 30 minutes, if I did not fall asleep during the 9:30 run I’d have to wait till the 10:30 train. Made for a miserable school day if I missed the early train. Great vids Shoestring! Many help with my naps at 65 yo. Smiles
