I really hope we won't see a slump like we do this time every season. I still believe in this team but we need to change things up on the pitch, also we need to get things right in January. I trust in Hughes and Mousinho to do that, but the question is whether the right players will be available, time will tell, as always, Play Up Pompey. 🔹️🔷️🔵💙 #Pompey

'Don't you moaners ever stop 2 bad games and the season is over'.............5 bad games now out of 6. I've supported Pompey for over 60 years and witnessed many Deja' Vu moments. This looks like another one.

Here we go again with the traditional yearly slump. Those in charge need to wake up to the fact that Pompey are like a 'one trick' pony. Too ofter we watch the opposition teams work out the Pompey match plan and then run the game to their own advantage. Pompey don't seem to be able to adapt or have a Plan B. Welcome to another year drifting around in Division 1.

Wheels coming off

Thought it was a very even 1st half where we struggled to control the game but they didn't have a huge amount of chances and we failed to to capitalise on the chances we made, there was a 20min spell in the 2nd half where we finally managed to control the game and eventually got the goal we deserved but rovers caught us out at the end and the recovery positionally was poor, a well taken free kick and a counter with decisive execution was the difference. Whyte looked miles off it again. I'm starting to think he's never gonna look like the player that was on fire at Oxford. Thought Harvey Vale looked like the best player on the pitch. Is he still a Chelsea player cos I'd they've got him permanently that's great business from them. Rovers away is always a tough place to go. Obviously clear we need to strengthen in jan nothing too crazy just a couple of first team level squad players. Still think Bishop needs time to get back to full fitness he looks a bit leggy. Gotta remember he had his pre season ruined in Spain with an injury, and imo only just started to get back to his best before he got injured again. I'd like to see saydee play 9 at some point just to see what it looks like cos I think it would benefit us to have another option there. And honestly when whyte has offered as little as he has and scully will most likely not be 100% till end of Jan, may aswell give mottoh some more minutes. Easily the best young player at the club and can't hurt to see if he's ready for the step up as a squad player. Ppl might get dramatic as our 8pt lead has already halved, but we were never gonna run away with it were we? Still alot of good things I love the football the team wants to play and does play most games. I think we're a season ahead of schedule as I thought we were looking at just getting play-offs this year. As long as we finish back in the top 6 for the first time in 3yrs I think it will be then we've done a decent job and the building blocks are there for us build a squad that if we don't go up will piss the league next year PUP
